Anybody ever been up to Citi Field for a game? Is it best to park at the stadium or park elsewhere and walk/mass transit, etc.?

I'll be there July 4th for the Phillies game and was just curious.

Thanks to anyone that can offer up some info

O's fans should hold their heads high, because the rest of our AL opponents have wanted NONE of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

4-1 Bucs, bottom 7 as we look to get the jump on our 8th series win in our last 9 attempts.

I can't believe Andrew McCutchen is 10th in NL all-star voting for OFs.

    .345, 13 HRs, 45 RBIs, 14 SBs, .990 OPS.

for comparison, Matt Kemp, the widely-accepted (and I agree) best CF in the NL:

    .355, 12 HRs, 28 RBIs, 2 SBs, 1.163 OPS.

At worst, that's a dead heat. At worst. I'm getting more than a little tired of the lack of respect for one of the GREAT young players in the game.

It's a fan vote. Which means one of two things: Pirates fans aren't voting as much as they should; or there are no Pirates fans. The Rangers could have 4 starters in the ASG and possibly even 5.

Went up there for a game with my dad a couple summers ago. Pretty much in the middle of nowhere IIRC. We were at hotel and didn't have a car so we rode the subway which takes you right to the stadium.

It's a real nice stadium, feels huge after going to so many Nats games. Only thing I remember not liking was the loud noise of planes flying over/near the stadium every couple innings.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably just park at the stadium (and most likely regret it haha)

Outfielder Marlon Byrd, who admitted to working with the man whose center triggered a federal investigation of steroids use and distribution among athletes, has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

The league announced on Monday that the free agent has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for Tamoxifen. He will be put on the restricted list and will remain there until Aug. 20.

Tamoxifen -- its brand name in the United States is Nolvadex -- is a medicine that blocks the effects of the estrogen hormone in the body. It is used to treat breast cancer in women or men and is used by steroid users to prevent the growth of breast tissues in men and to stop post-cycle crashes.

Byrd issued a statement through the Major League Baseball Players Association Monday.

"I made an inexcusable mistake," the statement said. "Several years ago, I had surgery for a condition that was private and unrelated to baseball. Last winter, I suffered a recurrence of that condition and I was provided with a medication that resulted in my positive test. Although that medication is on the banned list, I absolutely did not use it for performance-enhancement reasons.

I am mortified by my carelessness and I apologize to everyone who loves this game as I do. I will serve my suspension, continue to work hard and hope that I am given an opportunity to help a club win later this season.

You simply can't win, allowing two-out runs.

    Damn Phillies.

Nomination to rename this thread in this man's memory. I didn't know him, but it's very obvious the man loved his Rangers. Rest in Peace.

I can certainly do that. I think come October if our teams are out, we'll all certainly be pulling for the Rangers

Yeah we should make sure we keep this thread on the front page from now until the season is over.

The failure of the umpire checking to see if the Yankee player actually made the catch in the stands last night should ensure he NEVER calls another MLB game.

There is no place for that level of stupidity in umpiring.

BTW - Chapman for the Reds is a douche. Somersaults? Really?
