This is par for the course for the Yankees for the last3 years.

We fear going into the season that the pitching is going to be up to par.... but it actually turns out to be a strength. And the hundreds of millions the team has tied up in hitters... can`t friggin` hit. They struggle against opposing team`s aces.. and they struggle when they face new pitchers they`ve seldom faced. And they beat up on crappy pitchers at the end of the rotation.

Except, in the playoffs, there`s no crappy teams to beat up on and pad their stats.

Frustrating to watch this offense every year. Same result. Can`t hit.

    LMAOOO...

I remember as little as 4-5 years ago never being discouraged when the Yankees got down...now 1-0 makes me ready to give.

I want public apologies from #13 and #14

I predicted Tigers in 5 with a sweep being very very possible

Let me ask. Why is Cano getting a pass? He's their best player and let's be honest. He's hasn't done anymore than A-Rod, Granderson or Swisher.

IDK man...ppl have CRAZY....CRAZY hate for #13. Yankee fans...Philles fans...O's Fans...Baysox fans lol. He's just that guy and the fact he makes so much money doesn't help

Cano def should be way more criticized. i think because he is home grown, he gets a pass.

In fact, I've always have said that Cano only plays 80%...even when he is batting .615. He doesn't try...and you CANNOT bs in October. The scary thing is that he's 30 and has been in this spot millions of time before yet has never gotten his **** together. If he ever decided to give his all for season, he'd break records. He is the biggest "what if" in sports IMO.

Live and die by the long ball. Only way the team can score runs. Feast or famine waiting on homers.

yep...the only way they win is if they can survive by getting him another AB...

This is top 3 for me as far as clutch postseason performances go...too clutch

Yankees and Cardinals: two franchises with horseshoes up their asses. Unbelievable how often they pull these kinda games out.

It's absolutely embarrassing how few people are at the game right now.

Down 0-2 with Verlander pitching tomorrow. If Verlander mows them down the Yankees are done.

Matt Holliday's slide into Marco Scutaro last night was beyond bush league. And no..that's not good hard baseball. Perhaps if he had slid before the base rather than on top of the base...

When the MLB going to wise up and crack down on player's intentionally trying to hurt opponents?

BTW - that was one of the better atmospheres that I have ever attended live. AT&T park was absolutely off the rails last night.

    Oh A-Rod lol http://deadspin.com/5952143/report-a...on-some-ladies

So says the New York Post, which published an article today alleging that A-Rod, having been pinch-hit for in the eighth inning, put a considerable amount of effort into trying to woo two pretty ladies in the stands.
