Man will I be infuriated if we trade Jones. He's a great player and a great, well spoken guy. You'd be lucky to get half his value back in a trade, IMO.

I think it would kill the fanbase if they traded Jones. He's definitely a fan favorite. And there aren't many reason to go to games, Would be tough to justify trading one of your stars.

yeah, hes been with the team enough years now, that hes ingrained in my familiarity with this team. was always that player tha flashed potential, but this year- yes its still early- it looks like hes figured it out; especially the outside breaking pitch... would be sad to see him leave, regardless of his trade value

In the end though I agree it appears he is reaching his potential and it would be a slap in the face to the fanbase to trade him. Exactly! Even if it takes another 2-3 years for this team to start to get good, he'll still be in his prime at 28-29.

I think it would up moral AND fan support if he were cut. It's not like he's a young pitcher with room to grow. Come June he'll be 34.
