Is that the first time we've swept the Red Sux? I've been watching O's games for a while but I don't ever remember weeping those whiners.

McNulty and Bunk would be proud. The Baltimore Orioles are three Washington outs away from being the best team in baseball.
One of the Wire episodes was shot at Camden Yards...the PA guy says "Luis Matos"...and you can see Javy Lopez at bat. Memories![]()
HOLY GOD!!!
I left in the 6th inning to go on a date. Little did I know what I would be missing!
Saw some highlights right now....bottom 16 great relay from Jones to Hardy to Wieters. Jones smashing one. And Davis pitched pretty well! Seemed to have some decent movement on his pitches from what little I saw haha.
Stupendous win.
The key to success for the Orioles is dominance over the Yankees and Red Sox, which have been the Orioles daddy over the last few years
With both Yankees and Sox facing struggles with rotations, and the Orioles pitching slightly improved, the tide may be turning in the AL East towards the youth
It will be a fight as always as Rays and Jays are also young teams on the rise. We could see a changing in the guard soon.
I think that the Yankees and Red Sox will always be relevant and in the discussion. With the money that they can spend to cover up mistakes they are always a threat to win 90 games. So, if the Orioles have or ever do truly arrive, I think you will basically have a roll of the dice as to which 2-3 of the 5 AL East teams will make the post-season.
I'm not sure the O's or Jays are there yet...but I agree with you that we could be getting close to that day which would be both extremely exciting and extremely frustrating!
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."
--- America's Game
So when do we start thinking this may be for real? 28 games in and we have the best record in baseball. It seems the things that had been keeping the O's down (Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays, pitching, timely hitting) all seem to be going in the O's favor right now. If we end this home stretch with a 5-4 record or better, I think it may be time to start taking them seriously.
I'll wait until after the All-Star break, but it is nice to see them doing well.
Been pitching all along. For years we've been losing because our pitching has sucked. Now, we're getting quality starts and we finally have some arms in the BP. We've had the bats all along. Pitching is how the Rays have competed the last 5 years and that's how we compete with the Spanks and Suxs.

I want the peace of God in my life.
To say these words is nothing.
But to mean these words is everything.
Nobody can mean these words and not be healed.
