No way would I believe you if you told me back in April that on August 20th, the Orioles would be 11 games over .500 and in the 2nd WC spot. What a ride this season has been!

Also, with only 11 games left this month, we're guaranteed to go into September .500 or better. Who thought that was possible coming into this season?

So when do we start scoreboard watching?

Who am I kidding? I've been doing it for weeks!

this weekend i was up in King of Prussia, just outside of Philly. Had my O's cap on. Went into Lids (the hat shop).. some young clerk with his hat on sideways asked me "can i HELP you, mang?"
I said, "Well, I'm always on the lookout for a nice new Oriole hat, but all i see in here are these ridiculous looking P's."
He didn't laugh, and he also went to help someone else.

besides,, not a fan of those flatbrim caps that they seem to carry so much now.

I have too...and I feel ridiculous doing it. I have a Safari page on my iPhone that is set to the wild card standings. It's not that I need to see it each day (sadly, I know how each game impacts it), it's just cool to visually see it each night after the games end.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

I vote yes. I have worn that combo at both FedEx Field and OPACY on many occasions.

It's blowing my mind. I live in Red Sox country and for the first time since I moved up here I can get boo'd for wearing an O's cap. I love it.

No need to feel ridiculous about it cause this is what fans that have teams in contention actually do. Or so I've been lead to believe that's what they do.

In terms of non-AL East players that I hate to see at bat against the Os, Ian Kinsler is probably close to the top of my list. He always kills us it feels like.

Yea, he does. Same for AJ Peirzynski and Billy Butler. Billy Butler may be the champ.

Machado run up on a check swing called by the home plate umpire. It wasn't close. It wasn't REMOTELY close. I mean, the 1st or 3rd base umpires sometimes miss it, but the catcher didn't even ask...because it wasn't close.

Yeah, those two more for sure. Butler might be in the lead.

Weiters throws out Kinsler by a whole second on a breaking ball from Gonzalez......wow.

If we get swept in this series the season is over.

The Rangers are our kryptonite. Just don't feel comfortable playing them. Gonzalez just didn't have his best stuff tonight.
