Pitching is contagious be it good or bad. Seems the O's starters have collectively gotten the message about throwing strikes to be successful. Great start by Tillman. Hope Britton has been paying attention.

The way Flaherty handles the bat you'd think he was better than a .197 hitter. I think these extended starts are helping his confidence. I think he has slightly more potential than Andino at 2nd (and def better than Roberts).

He may be better than B. Rob now considering B. Rob suffered from concussions for so long and now a torn something or another, but I don't see he being better career wise. I'm also not sure about his defense at second.
You are right though about his swing. I've been very tough on him but the swing looks better and that was a big time insurance run. Time to close it out with Strop and JJ.

Oh for sure def not better than B Rob career wise. Roberts has had a nice career. I just think his tank is pretty much empty. I think Flaherty's defense is pretty much standard...I do recall him having a big error recently but honestly I can't judge him too much.

1-2-3 for Strop. See if we can add another run then give it to JJ.

Nice win. Great pitching and Thome did what we got him for.

I said we need to go on an long winning streak and the O's are responding (because they listen to me haha). Need to keep it going though, nowhere near where we need to be in order to make the playoffs with the Tigers and Angels heating up.

Quintanilla is a defensive specialist so I love the move. It's also a plus that he plays SS so if Hardy needs a break we have a solid sub.

Tillman's changeup is amazing. So much movement on it. If he could get slightly more movement on his fastball he'd be virtually unhittable. Really excellent outing. Love that he was actually able to settle down after giving up that leadoff HR.

Nice to see the team battling and I couldn't be happier to get to watch a pros pro like Thome do his thing. Great to see a HOFer that puts in the work he does. That simply has to rub off on our young players.

Couldn't watch the game due to being at a surprise birthday party, but when someone shouted out the final there were high fives and fist pumps amongst the crowd.

I then shouted "You know what guys? O's know winning!" No joke. Then told them the story behind that and they got a kick out of it.

looks like tillman had a nice outing.. never know what to expect from our young guys.

last year, we hadnt won our 50th game until august 24th, that is a great improvement.

oakland is doing us a good favor by beating up on the yankees, and we are currently tied for the 2nd wild card spot with oakland and chicago.
