August Part 2. O's kept winning and optimism kept flowing. It became more apparent that 82 was no longer the true objective of the season. The bats kept swinging, the pen was strengthened by Matusz, and the weary rotation bolstered by contributions from Britton and Tillman.

hell, how can you be disappointed? Be excited anyway. Its mid August and the O's MATTER.
Even if they fall short, this has been a great season, a possible permanent turn of the corner.

So I'm just going to throw this out there once again. Today's win puts the O's at 66-55. That's 11 games over .500. They have 11 games left in August. Think about that.

Ladies and Gents: It is impossible for the Baltimore Orioles to have a losing record when September starts. The Orioles WILL end August at .500 or better.

A different kind of math soon followed. A different magic number.

It's blowing my mind. I live in Red Sox country and for the first time since I moved up here I can get boo'd for wearing an O's cap. I love it.

If we get swept in this series the season is over.

On top of it all, there are rumors that Dylan Bundy will be making a start within the next couple of weeks. So proud of this team....playoffs or not. As O's fans, we have a lot to be excited about going forward.

tampa looks like they will win today while oakland looks like they could drop this one. i will take that considering the opposite happened last night. assuming we can win, that will work and put us in a position to eliminate the rays before we even arrive down there. i wonder if my skins and o's will cross paths.
