Way to pop up like a ***** when it counts, Tex. Nice dinger yesterday in the rout, though.

Why does Tex blow so much? No, seriously? Why does he blow during every at bat and when he is running? Trying to blow all of the douche out of himself?

I don't like much about the Yankees but these announcers on the YES network aren't too annoying or biased.

Just win tmr to lock up a home game. The Yanks could lose tmr. Anything can happen in baseball.

I know it's easy to bash Boston right now, but they're playing with a glorified AAA lineup. And let's not forget, we put ourselves in this position by losing two games to the Yankees that we should have won in early September.
So by my math, if we win tomorrow, we a guaranteed a home playoff game. Here's why:
1) If we win, we have 94 wins. Let's temporarily assume NY beats the Red Sox (base case)
2) If Oakland takes tonight's and tomorrow's game from Texas, they have 94 wins and Texas has 93. Oakland takes the division, we have a better record than Texas, so they come to OPACY.
3) If Oakland and Texas split tonight and tomorrow's games, Texas has 94 wins and Oakland has 93. Texas takes the division, we have a better record than Oakland, so they come to OPACY.
4) If Texas takes both games from Oakland, they have 95 wins and Oakland has 92. Texas takes the division, we have a better record than Oakland, so they come to OPACY.
Best-case: New York also loses tomorrow, so all of the same applies, but we're a 2 seed if we win the 1-game playoff and a 4 seed if we lose.
Worst case: We lose tomorrow, and if this happens, we'd want Texas to sweep these 2 games with Oakland to at least give us the WC game at home.

1) So if the Os win Wednesday but are the WC if the Yankees win, they have a home play-in game Friday, and if they win that have two more home playoff games Sunday and Monday?
2) If the Os win Wednesday but the Yankees lose, they play at home vs the Yanks on Thursday and, if they win, have to go on the road for the first two. If they lose on Thursday, see #1.
Ugh. Why does #1 sound more appealing?
Oh, Ok, I misread.

I guess this is the part that I don't understand. You and your dad grew up, lived and died (figuratively of course) with the Indians, but now you're diehard Nats fans. While I understand the loyalty to the DC area, I'm not sure I could just turn it off and turn it on like that. I live in the Charlotte area and that would be like if I grew up living here rooting for the Redskins from 1976 (first year I started watching them) until the city of Charlotte got the Panthers in 1995 and then all of the sudden became a Panthers fan. I couldn't do it. Alot of Redskin fans here couldn't do it. But, like I said, to each his own, it's not my job to determine who people root for, just that this debate gets so old year after year and it's usually a NATS fan trolling (not you) and starting this ****.
