Let em come aboard. I'm pretty sure TK and the crew will handle em accordingly if they jump out of line.

Ive been a fan since 1980. I hate all of Snyders failed moves, i stopped going to FEDEX field because it is a waste of time and money for me anymore. I dont enjoy talking to Skins fans about the team because the organization doesnt offer anything good to talk about. Finally, I am numb from all the draft busts, FA fails and coaching changes. however...

I have great respect for younger fans who never saw the glory days. I dont know how a 20yr old can stay on board with this mess.
I love that Snyder handed over ops to Mike/Bruce
I am very pleased with the roster overhaul so I am good with RG3.

    Cautious optimism.

Maybe in 20 years time someone will start a thread "Why do you support the Redskins?" and there will be quite a few answers "because they signed RGIII/Luck back in 2012". We all started somewhere so welcome aboard.

Better bring a lot of 6 packs for being so late.

Being a fan of a professional sports franchise is more like an addiction than a choice. I got hooked on the skins during Gibbs I (1982-ish) and haven't been able to shake it since.

Frankly, remaining a fan over the past 20-years would have been a pretty poor choice if I was really choosing to do so. Again, it's more like an addiction.

I pity any new fans that catch the addiction.

Its ok TK, kids today just don't get it.

    In my 35+ years of rooting, cheering, crying, and celebrating Redskin victories and defeats, I've come to the conclusion that goes a li'l sumthin' like this;
Either a person is a fan or not a fan, of a particular team. The term bandwagon doesn't seem applicable, because in order to be a fan, one must, no, CHOOSES to endure through thick and thin; otherwise, they are simply a viewer.
It would be kinda difficult to cheer for RGIII, being technically he's not officially signed on with the club, so anticipating that he is the one would be premature.
Now, speaking of people, or fans, it is difficult to catagorize someone as a so-called bandwagon fan, just because a certain player MAY be signing with the Redskins; its not a 'who got here first' scenario, which would be indicative of someone calling another a bandwagon, just because they may be a fan before this other person decides to be.
Glory years are some sweet memories for us old farts who actually were around when the Redskins were putting the boots to asses to the other teams; so, in actuality, technically, any of us could describe the younger crowd of being the same thing.
But we know better; we've tasted the honey, and it was ssswweeeeeeeettt! Hopefully, whoever will be our future QB, will once again bring the honey pot around for all of us to enjoy, and once again, the chattering of the glory years will once again pick up, and we will all be able to enjoy it...

    Here's the important question:

Do they start liking us BEFORE or AFTER we win a SB with RGIII? heh.

But in all seriousness, bandwagon fans are welcome, so long as they don't jump ship if things go sour. There will always be a clear difference between the band of brothers that is the core fanbase, that's stuck it out for the 20 year wasteland, and the newcomers who just show up when times are good. We can welcome them, but they won't really get their fan card punched until they stick around when we flounder for 3+ years.

Everybody who knows me has been warned several times that when the redskins start winning again the first person
Who calls me a bandwagon fan is gonna get punched in the face.

It's kind of a joke I have with them.

I personally don't like bandwagon fans, but young people that are just choosing a team welcome aboard, also all the fans of Griffin III are also welcome.

If you have previously rooted for another team piss off...

Whether the team has success or not, we are going to get a lot of new fans just by bringing in a new flashy QB. Think back to when the Falcons got Vick and how many people became Atlanta fans.
