He could have been much better. He just doesn't seem to have the maturity and off the field work ethic (outside of the gym). He should have had surgery when his achilles popped up, and come back stronger and more dedicated. He would have then received a long-term deal from us, I believe.

Never really was a student of the game, more of a student of the bench press...It's funny. I remember during the 2007 draft NFL analysts were comparing him to Ed Reed and Troy Polomalu.

I'd take Atogwe over Landry. Atogwe is both more likely to be healthy and the more sound football player when he is healthy. I doubt I'll miss either too terribly, though.

-What a dissapointment............. It really dosent matter anyway, enen if he was here in 2012 we would be lucky to get a few games out of him. He is all muscle and potential, but that dosent do anybody any good lookin on from the sidelines because you can never dress for game day.......

-And another first rounder bites the dust!!

I was just kidding. The Jets do make the most sense but when it comes to Landry all bets are off. The guy is a major idiot and I could see going to either the cowboys or eagles just to burn the Redskins.

But he has that potential. When healthy, he doesn't flash it, he shows it.

Problem is, he's never healthy, and when he's injured, he doesn't do anything to make himself healthy...

What really sucks.......... is I thought we were going to have the best back field in the league last year. Then both LL and OJ got hurt, and now gone. Now we are starved at the position, sigh.......

Come on, Bang, play like Jane?

One thing Landry didn't do when he was on the field was play soft. That is ridiculous to say even though I'm sure it was tongue-in-cheek a bit.

The rest of your post is spot on, and it's unfortunate he just couldn't get on the field the last year and a half. It's also unfortunate that he thinks he deserves more from this organization when he should fully understand just how unreliable he's been for his coaches and teammates. If he's a team guy, why not admit that first and foremost instead of talking down the organization all the time?

And when we do have this thing turned around, people will see it, and say, ‘Oh my God, that's the way you do it.' "

LaRon never grew up, seems to blame the skins instead of wanting to do what it takes to turn it around. I feel angry at him for not reaching his potential with us and making this an easy decision for the FO. Knowing our karma the change to another team will help spark something in him. The reality is tho its hard obe mad at the player when it comes down to the culture he has been surrounded by since ST died and Gibbs left. I truly hope we have fixed the culture now at Redskin Park, I am not optimistic as I see Shanahan as more of a bully than a mentor but I guess his hard line approach was what was needed after all that has happened under Snyder.

I sure hope so, our deep ball would be nice with Roy Williams 2.0 back there.

I don't think Landry ever really liked playing here... It wasn't until like 2 years ago that he stopped wearing purple shoulder pads under his jersey.

I guess this is that awkward moment where I ask the mods to change my screen name to HeluNutCheerios

I've been saying I could see him going to the pokes for awhile...but honestly...I don't know if they want him that much from what some of their fans tell me

If he heads to Dallas or Philly, I'll be giving you a shout for sure!
