"We sure didn't contain 36 (Westbrook); 36 had a monster day," Lions wide receiver Roy Williams said. "I've never seen anything like it. He's All-Pro. I wasn't a believer in him at first; I'm a Brian Westbrook fan now."
Awesome news. Glad to see the Eagles way overpay for a guy with 4 receiving TD's last year.
Giants.
Also freed up 6 million of cap room this year.
15 million guaranteed. Will pay him 18 million for the first 2 years.

That's surprising, especially if you think Andy is possibly gone after this year.
That's a lot of bling for a fragile guy.
I'll laugh when he skips workouts again.
It'll be fun watching him earn those big bucks from the bench or IR when he's not getting "enough" passes...

The overall contract numbers are meaningless. Most contracts never pay out the total amount. Like I said, I like Garcon, but he's never had a 1000 yard season even with Manning. Jackson has had two in the same time span. I think the Eagles got a good deal, guaranteed money wise, compared to us who probably overspent a little for Garcon.
Jackson has been the #1 option on that team over the last few years. Garcon has been #3 (Wayne, Clark).

I think Jackson has already peaked, he has injury concerns and he's a dumb****. Garcon on the other hand is still growing as a player, has no injury concerns and by all accounts is a great guy and a hard worker. Just my opinion.

How they run routes is big to me. From what I've seen, read and heard, Garcon is a GREAT route runner. On the other hand, Jackson is either lazy as hell with his routes or just sucks at running them. Maybe both.
And that's why I said I think he's peaked. His play and production is built by his speed. He's not going to be getting any faster.

The "20 million guaranteed" is full of loopholes: link
It goes on to say that his two year guaranteed total is 19 million, but is only guaranteed by injury.Originally Posted by steelersdepot.com
A far as the stats go, Garcon has worked his way into playing time and seems to be on the rise, while Jackson has played full time since his rookie year and we have probably seen his peak. We have also seen him be less than a good teammate. Only time will tell, but I think the Redskins paid a fair price for Garcon.
