I think the QB rushing record for the Redskins, is Joe Theismann.
    Am I wrong?

314 yards rushing on 62 attempts.
RG3 might have that by week-8

Joe Theismann also had 4 rushing TD's.
    A season record I believe.

RG3 will probably obliterate the QB rushing records here in Washington.

I would think he would have a better comp % as well as 8.5 yards/pass. Our O is built to throw the ball downfield and its what he likes to do best.

8.5 per attempt is huge. I'd be happy with that.

Really dislike the poll options. I doubt he breaks any of the regular seasonal records for passing listed.

The QB rushing records he'll likely have a good shot at as well as the rookie passing records.

I love most of what you add to this place of ours M_S_F, but this one is WAY out of control.

Aside from the fact we've yet to officially draft him, how about we step back and put as little pressure as possible on RGIII or Luck? I appreciate that's easier said than done with all the hype and expectation surrounding both; but, and I'm not just picking on your thread bud, just running with it; people SERIOUSLY need to temper their expectations. We still have a LOT of rebuilding to go. And let's not forget that small lil' thing that this will be both guys rookie season. Who knows how quickly they'll adapt to pro-life?

The chances are they'll be a lot of downs on the way to the up's. And I just pray the fan base gets some realism instilled in them ready for those downs. I know this is in jest, but predicting what records a guy who's not even here yet will tear up is more than a tad OTT.

    Hail.

I'm... I'm gonna go with Completion percentage. You saw his senior year, right? :P

Seriously I think we need to just take the foot off the throttle a bit. It's not impossible RGIII could struggle as a rookie as he adjusts to a new system and the much higher level of competition in the NFL. If he does lets give him time and in any case let's not weigh him down with perhaps unrealistic expectations.

If he goes out and has the kind of year Cam Newton had that would be fantastic. That kind of performance from a rookie QB is the exception though not the rule.
I agree with this. Lets not throw a bunch of lofty expectations on the kid quite yet. Now thats not to say he won't have an amazing rookie year, but there is always a learning curve entering the NFL.

Love RG3, but the NFL is going to be a big adjustment for him.

Let's all settle down a bit.

Can we draft the guy first before seeing what he breaks, lol? Anyway, i voted for yards in a season. With Garcon, Hankerson, Moss and Davis he should be able to get close to 4,500 yds, barring injuries of course

This is the kind of thread that fueled my desire to make the "Why Indy could take the LUCKy horseshoe or the Tres" thread.

Avatars, records, jerseys... Seriously? I really feel bad mojo going on right now. Not because we might get "stuck" with Luck (Either way I'll be doing the Carlton dance) but because not only are we counting our chickens before they hatch, but we're placing WAYYY too high expectations on whichever rookie QB we get.
