Jay Schroeder(1986): 4,109 Passing Yards
Sonny Jurgensen(1967): 31 TD Passes
Jason Campbell(2009): 64.5% Pass Completion (highest in true attempts & in 16 game season)
Mark Rypien(1991): 8.5 Yards Per Pass Attempt (highest in true attempts & in 16 game season)
Norm Snead(1963): 17.4 Yards gained Per Pass Completion (highest attempts & in 14 game season)
The rushing yards and TDs by a QB are a given - he's going to shatter those.
As far as passing, I see 3,500 to 4,000 yards in this new QB-friendly league. 25 TD's. May not break the records in his rookie year, but the 2nd he should shatter them.
i think it's kind of fun to speculate... i don't believe RGIII and Luck come to extremeskins to see what fans expect them to do in their rookie year. Those guys are already going to have a lot of pressure and high expectations on them with all the hype anyway. Luck is being billed as the best QB prospect since John Elway, at the very least the best since Peyton Manning. Not to mention, he may be taking over a team from Peyton, which itself sets a lot of high expectations because that fan base has become accustomed to winning year after year. RGIII (or Luck if the Colts pass on him) would have the pressure of meeting to hype brought on by being drafted by the team who gave of three high picks to get him. So when you think about it, it's not so bad to speculate whether or not they can break a few of the Skins passing records. Keep in mind, that the NFL has become such a passing league in recent years so 4100 yards and 31 TDs don't look too daunting anymore.
I find it a bit funny, too, that many people seem to believe JC's 64.5% and Mark Rypien's 8.5 YPA will be easier marks to hit then the other records. Last season, only four QBs completed that percentage or higher and only three completed 8.5 YPA or higher. Eight QBs passed Jay Schroeder's yardage mark last season and five QBs passed for 31 TDs or more so those marks seem a bit more attainable.
I think, IF there's a passing record he breaks, it will be the YPA, due partially to his receivers, partially to his ability to stretch out a play, and his deep throw accuracy.
However, I think he'll break every rushing record we have.
Having said that, I think the rest of his stats will probably be pretty rookie like, 2000-2500 yards, 55% completions, 20 TDs, 20 INTs, and such.
I also think he'll have 2 3INT games which will cause some dumb *** to come on ES screaming about how worthless he is and how the trade was a flop and how he's the biggest bust in NFL history, and it will probably be one of the same people who've been saying how he's going to the HoF already.

With Hankerson, Davis, Garcon, Moss, he will get to 3,500 yds easily. The 4,000 mark is if he REALLY does well. Rushing record for QB will be broken in 5 weeks, we've never had a QB under center with his kind of speed.
Yards, TDs, and Yards per attempt.
If he sets the yardage mark, he also has the NFL mark. Donovan McNabb was on pace to set the franchise record his year here, with all the troubles he had. With a better passer and someone who will fit in with the system perfectly, he should have no problem reaching this mark.
TDs is the least likely of the three I chose, but it's possible. If Hank is healthy, I'll say he sets it.
Yards per attempt is practically a given IMO. RG3 will be throwing a lot, and our receivers should be racking up yards.

You, me and every other sane member amongst us Rufus. But sadly we know the majority's expectations are gona' be sky high from the very first moment he steps onto the practice field.
I sincerely hope he tears it up from the get go. But if he naturally stutters along the way, I dread to think what the out-cry on here will be ..... from the "We told you you don't trade pics" antiquated brigade; through to the "Rex knows the system. Get him in NOW! to save the season" reactionary ones. And all points in-between.
Good luck Robert. (Or Andrew.). With the vultures in this town, your gona' need it.
Hail.
Poll should have a none of the above option.
The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "
Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.
This was moved to DC Soccer, huh?May as well have been deleted

I believe RGIII will be better than Cam. He throws a beautiful ball and is a perfect fit for Shanny's offense. RGIII is intelligent, physically gifted, and motivated. After so many dismal seasons I see no reason for Skins fans not to be over the moon. Can't wait to get this season started!
HTTR!
Was looking for certain stats and found this thread. Why not bump?
It's funny because I can't answer the poll #'s off the top of my head, but what I was looking for was that ridiculously long list of records etc that RG3 broke. NCL or someone posted it, it's like, comically long, but it's true.
edit-ooookay, just realized where this thread is lol......*crickets*
