I wasn't a member @Extremeskins last year, otherwise I would have shared his 2011 trend prognostication with everyone here.

This was his 2011 Schedule & Info:

This is obviously just 1 method to use,but I have found an interesting method to maybe see what our record will be in hindsight for the 2011 season.

I went all the way back to 2002,which was the year of the Re-Alignment of the Divisions.
This gives us a 10 year statistical analysis of percentages, based off of how we did from Week 1 to Week 17. It also tells us how we did at Home VS on the Road in those same weeks.

I've also factored in,what our record is against that specific team in the last 10 years no matter where the game was played.

I am one of those people that factors in the schedule as a major player,on what and how a team does from year to year.

So lets take a look at those numbers shall we?

In other words...Just beating the Giants once this season..gives us a 50% chance at making the Playoffs alone!

I won't be surprised if we are their 1st victory on the season,just like the Lions and Rams the years before with their rookie QB's..

LOSS: This is a tough one to call because the game is in Toronto and not truly a road game. LOSS: Yep! Prepare yourself for the sweep this season. Both draws against Dallas are very bad You thought week 3 was bad? This is worse and at home. We just simply don't win in week 11.

WIN: Surprising isn't it? As bad as we play against the Seahawks in the playoffs,we seriously own these guys throughout the season. Unfortunately,we draw them on the road where we have gone 1-4 the last 10 years. But I think we steal this one from them, as we seem to beat these guys during the season. Look for a nail biter here though...

WIN: I think we win either the Patriots game or this one...I chose this one cause we simply play the Jets much better during the season. Unfortunately,we don't play well at home this week at all. So it's really a Pick'm here...We don't play at home well this week,but we seem to beat the Jets during the season the last 10 years. Look for a real defensive ugly game here.

LOSS: Would love to win this one,but it ain't happening. Not only do we play the Pats,but we are 1-4 during this week at home the last 10 years. We actually would have faired better,had this game been at Foxboro where we are 3-1 on the road during this week.

LOSS: Actually not a bad time to draw the Giants. We are a 50/50 on the road this week,but I can't see us winning here. Not only have the giants owned us at their house,but I can't see us sweeping them this season. But if there was ever a time to draw the Giants and go for the sweep,you can't really complain about getting the giants here in week 15 on the road. We play pretty well this time of year.

WK-16=Minnesota Vikings

WIN: We are 50/50 against these guys the last 10 years,but we got these guys at home and that's big. We usually play very well here at home in week 16 and I see us coming up big in this one. Should be a heck of a game.

LOSS: Would love to finish out the season here with our 8th win and maybe a wildcard shot,but we just can't finish with a victory. Tough team and we don't usually play that great on the road to finish the year. We do play better at philly,than against them at home...But I think we fall short here..sorry.

Hopefully we do better,but this is a good prediction and still an improvement off last season.

If we can beat a bad Carolina team and take one from Miami..we might find ourselves in a wildcard position.

But if you want to go by matchups and how we have done week to week the last 10 years at Home/Away...this is pretty good data to use.

Obviously, he wasn't perfect. But I was impressed with the research that went into this & how close he was in not just the outcome of the games, but the analysis that went into them.

So now I will calculate the 2012 Schedule, by adding the results of the 2011 season.

...And now we can factor in the teams we play in 2012 into this method, to see who best to see Week-1 through Week-17.

You would want the Redskins home games to be....
Week-1
Week-4
Week-5
Week-7
Week-8
Week-12
Week-16
Week-17

And Away games to be.....
Week-2
Week-4
Week-6
Week-9
Week-11
Week-13
Week-14
Week-15

for best results!

I will update this thread, once the 2012 schedule is released for all 17 weeks.

hopefully, the schedule looks a little like this...

home games to be....
Week-1=Eagles (prime time)
Week-4=Dallas
Week-5=Falcons
Week-7=Giants
Week-8=Ravens
Week-12=Bengals
Week-16=Panthers
Week-17=Vikings

And Away games to be.....
Week-2=Bucs
Week-4=Saints
Week-6=Steelers
Week-9=Rams
Week-11=Giants
Week-13=Browns
Week-14=Eagles
Week-15=Cowboys

Having a week 6, week 10 or week 11 bye, would be nice.
We apparently can't win games those weeks.
