    Default 2012 NHL Playoffs

I'm shocked that there isn't a thread like last season...if I missed it, please be quick with the sword mods

The playoffs started with a bang last night with the Flyers overcoming a 3-0 first period deficit to beat the Pens 4-3 in overtime. These playoffs are truly the best of any sport.

Who do you have taking the Cup home?

LOL...tell me the last team to go undefeated in their SC run.

They're still up there as a Cup favorite despite losing last night. Their series is going to be an absolute battle. I really expect it to go 7.

It wasn't the fact that they lost but how they lost.

I agree that they are still one of the favorites but it will be interesting to see if they can recover from blowing a game that badly.

Once Crosby scored I figured that it was destiny for them with him back. That's alright, the Cup needs to go back to Chicago.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rangers go all the way if they manage to get past Ottawa (as weird as that sounds). I agree with Boudreau that the Kings will beat the Canucks.

I think it's going to be the winner of the Preds/Wings series against the winner of the Pens/Flyers. I'd love to see the Caps go on a run, but we just haven't been good or consistent this year. I think we will give the B's a closer series than many are expecting, but I don't like our chances of getting past the first round.

What a whipping, 8-5 Philly over Pittsburgh. 2-0 series lead for Philly and they're heading home. Hoping the Pens are done, and that Philly is getting the awesome out of their system now.

I hate Pittsburgh as much as anyone but the series is far from over. Home ice means nothing and we see teams lose the first 2 at home seemingly every year and bounce back to win the series(last year's Bruins, Caps in 09 as examples).

Bettman will figure out a way to even up this series probably. I imagine whistles on the Pens will all but vanish like they did their "title" year against Detroit....after the curious suspension of Malkin......and then the Washington series with what I believe was zero penalties for something like at least an entire game if not more than that.

Bruins lost the first two at home in the 1st round last season too. Just sayin, to anybody who thinks the Pens are done.
