1991-92 Home Jersey. Notice the exaggerated scoop on the 1 and the 8 seems a little bit shorter than what it looked like on the 1990 jersey. This is because the crossbar in the middle is skinnier than the top and bottom crossbars. On the 1990 font, all three crossbars are the same thickness making the 8 just a little bit taller looking.

1991-92 Back. I haven't added a nameplate yet but it will have varsity font. Notice how really exaggerated the scoop looks on the 1 on the back. The 8 is similar to the 1990 8, but the crossbar in the middle is skinnier than the top and bottom. On the 1990 jersey the crossbar in the middle is the same thickness as the top and bottom making the 8 just a little bit taller. This is true of the 8 on the front as well.

1991-92 Away. I wear this jersey the most so I did not crop the sleeves to remove the burgundy at the end like Monk did. Maybe someday, but I don't want to mess with this one yet. It is interesting to note the difference in gold color on the burgundy jersey vs the white jersey. This is the exact same gold used, but because it is screened onto a burgundy base, it comes out looking much more orange looking.

1991-92 Away Back. Again, I didn't add a nameplate yet, but I will soon. Note how "Rosy" the burgundy color is on this jersey. If you look at Monk's 1993 Upper Deck Card, you will see that the authentics are really this "rosy" in color.

1993 Home Jersey...The font has become a cross between the 1990 jerseys and the 1991-92 jerseys. If you look at the jerseys side by side, the font is exactly the same except for the scoop on the 1. Please note how the scoop is much less pronounced on the 1 than it was in 1991-92

1993 Home Jersey Back...again the less pronounced scoop. This jersey has the varsity font, but Monk also wore the tall font that season. Donruss put out a series of cards that have a game used swatch from a 1993 jersey. the picture of the game used jersey show one of Monk's jerseys with this font. The interesting thing with Monk is that he wore jerseys in 1993 that had the 1991-92 font AND the 1993 font. the black and white photo at the beginning of this thread is from a November 1993 game, but he is wearing the 1991-92 font. There must have been some jerseys left over from the previous year that he wore as well. He wore the new font in the playoff game against the 49ers, but I don't know if he wore it before this. One other thing to note is the font on the sleeves...notice how wide the 8 is as compared to the 8 on the 1991-92 jersey. The white in the middle of the 1991-92 jersey is square while the white in the middle of the 8 on the 1993 jersey is rectangular.

1986 Away jersey. The Redskins had 2 different fonts in 1985-1986. Some of the jerseys had octagons inside the 8 and some had squares. this jersey is an example of the square. This is also the same font that Mitchell and Ness should have used on their 1982 jersey if they were going to do it accurately instead of using the 1990 font. I actually prefer the 1990 font to the 80's font so I am glad that they used the 1990 font. Please see the Thread that Mark the Homer posted on the history of the Redskins Jerseys for references on the different fonts this year. He has pictures of Gary Clark and Don Warren that show the different fonts on the 8. This is a Russell Athletic size 44. I have to reattach the tag as the stitches came loose on one side and I had to remove it.

Ok, Ok...this isn't a Monk jersey but it is a Joe Jacoby game jersey that was modified to be used afterwards as a practice jersey. Some of the stitches from where the nameplate was are still visable but the signatures are where the plate would be. The shoulders have a ton of team repairs as this jersey saw lots of action. I wanted to post this picture because of all the autographs on it. The Art Monk autograph is top and center. The main thing that I love about this jersey is that the entire "Posse" have signed the jersey. Note that the Gary Clark signature is his entire name. His signature now almost looks like GK4. Another curious thing is that Jacoby's signature is absent from his own jersey...I forgot to ask him to sign it

Art Monk autographed mini helmet that I customized the facemask to look like the OPO-SW facemask that Monk wore. Technically this one is a ZB2 made by Riddell after I modified it as the OPO-SW was manufactured by Schutt. Schutt mini helmets hace metal facemasks so I couldn't cut off and file down an actual OPO facemask.

Art Monk cutout...Why were these ever made? Oh well, I had to get it!!! Notice that there is a slight variation on the 1 from the 1986 jersey that I have. The top of the 1 almost comes to a point while the Russell jersey that I have is more blunt.

Art Monk customized Bobblehead. This was originally a Peerless Price bobblehead that is custom painted. I really like this as it looks more like Monk than any bobblehead that I have ever seen. The SAM bobbleheads from the 90's don't even look as much like Monk as this one does!!

Monk custom Mcfarlane figure. Originally a Dez Bryant..ironic isn't it? The only thing that a Cowboys McFarlane figure is good for is to make it into a Redskins figure!!!
