Well, if there's a silver lining, I'll be able to follow the Caps more closely now.

You live in Richmond, if an NFL team or MLB team move there, would you drop the Skins and Nats?
Yeah, I'm a huge Skins, Caps, and Wizards fan but I grew up with O's baseball. I'd never leave it. When I watch the Nats, I feel nothing at all and just get bored. For me, its all about the feeling you get when you watch teams. In my case, my age makes a difference too. I know nothing of, nor do I care, about the old D.C. team back in the day.

I watched the orioles as a kid, but i hated watching AL baseball. its so freaking boring. my NL team used to be the marlins but once the nats got here, it was a easy decision

The part of tonight that pissed me off is the fact that Davey Johnson inexplicably replaced Edwin Jackson with Tom "everything about me screams AAA" Gorzelanny after back-to-back 1-2-3 innings from Jackson in a 5-4 game, and then Johnson was waving the white flag in the sixth ****ing inning by keeping Gorz in after it was obvious to everyone that he was getting murdered. We were playing the ****ing Astros. With four bottom halves left, it wouldn't exactly have taken an act of God to score a few more runs and tie things up or take the lead. But no, we had to keep him in there, giving up hit after hit until Houston had double-digit runs, and then sending him out there again in the seventh as if to say, "Hey Astros! We think your lead should be even bigger!"

    Terrible managing.

Baseball is a long season. Not every game is do or die. Sometimes it's smart to just concede defeat and leave a reliever in there to get drilled and essentially take one for the team.

We were due a bad game. We won another series though so no big deal. On to the Fish.

Conceding defeat when it's 6 to 4 and it's the top of the sixth and you're at home makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Kind of like replacing a hot pitcher when it's 5 to 4 makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, especially when you're not even doing it to pinch hit for him.

Oh I didn't realize the game was 6-4, I just checked the box score and saw 11-4 so I assumed we were getting routed the whole way.
