Nice win. Nice series. Bats are coming alive at the right time, up & down the order.

Costly series injury wise: Chad Tracy to have MRI Tuesday. He says he thinks it's his groin. No word on Flores, but it won't be good having the 3rd string C working the MIA games.

With a day game tomorrow I'm expecting a ton of guys to get days off. Poor J-Z won't have much run support again methinks.

Hmmm....I'm not sure who sits because of the injuries: Flores is out (which he probably would have been even without his injury tonight), RZim (but without Tracy, that means Lombo goes to 3rd). With Zambrano pitching, Ankiel CF & Bernadina LF.

Shouldn't be too bad a dropoff. Maldonado is an unknown, but I don't expect much. I think his AAA BA was pretty low. Dude has played in the minors since 1996 and has played in 26 MLB games.

Flores is hoping to be back Tuesday. He was gonna get the day off tomorrow anyway.

The hotter the heat, the harder the steel, no pressure no diamonds, we compete, we win

We are the next decade of the Washington Redskins

Its gonna suck when we have to shut Strasburg down, especially since this team could be making a huge push this year

Yeah, it's gonna suck. But if there's one thing we've seen from this team so far this year, guys are ready to step in and pick up the slack. I think that's what I like about this team this year: RZim goes down, pitching carries the load, guys make plays with timely hits to get the win. Look at the bullpen: Numerous guys have picked it up with Storen & Lidge on the shelf. Ramos goes down, Flores steps in and has played damn well. Kid has caught every game (I think) since then. Tough duty, even for a young guy.

So I'm not worried. Disappointed he won't be available for some late season action. And, no, I'm not saying he can be replaced. All I'm saying is I think this team will pull together to hammer out some wins when Stras is done for the season.

    More like 4th string

Hopefully we get Sandy Leon back in the next week or so...Maldonado looked crappy in spring training and playing less than 30 MLB games in over 15 years doesn't bode well for his talent prospects.

You know, Leon's stint on the field was so short I forgot all about him. It's funny because I was looking at the catcher stats last night on the A, AA, AAA rosters and couldn't remember who it was that was tearing it up in the minors this season. Freaking Old Age will do that to ya...

So here's what I got on the current injuries. Anyone have anything to add/change?

Morse - June 8 vs. Boston
    Flores - day-to-day - I'll say a week - June 5th return vs. the Mets
Tracy - goes this Tuesday for an MRI - 15-day DL at a minimum - June 15 at the earliest
    Leon - unknown
    Lidge - unknown
Storen - July 13 (1st game after the All-Star break)
Werth - July 31 return vs. PHL - how sweet would this be to have him return, at home, vs. PHL for some payback?
Ramos - out for the year

Do you think there's any way Davey shuts him down for the summer, but brings him back if we're a legitimate playoff contender in September?
