Ok, I don't completely ignore it. I believe the cumulative evidence strongly leans away from it.
Is it possible, yes. Is it likely, no.
Its sort of ancillary though because I'm giving him the slugging percentage is very valuable. The problem is his OBP is wretched. I hope he learns that skill too. So, he learns how to not make outs and hit for more power at the same time.... seems unlikely.
Truthfully, I'd rather he learn how to make less outs at the expense of some power if necessary.

Who gives a **** as long as he stays hot we will keep riding him til the wheels fall off. A real fan shouldnt be waiting for a player on their team to **** up just to prove you are right. Youre probably part of the same group who wanted Perry Riley off the team cause of some special teams blunders his rookie year.
Dude, you're coming in with a lot of venom. If you go back, you'll see I have a much more measured approach. Last year, I said he needed time to develop and not to crap on the guy. This year I'm saying he's not an all star. I don't know if you are aware of this, but there's a big range of outcomes between minor league player (which is what most thought he was for most of last year) and all star.
Pull the underwear out of your crack, take a deep breath, and start posting with less emotion and more thought.
And FTR, I've always liked Perry Riley.

On another subject, are we seeing the emergence of Tyler Moore as a legit major league power hitter? He's shown it in the minors. Maybe with this second callup he's finally getting comfortable in the bigs.
Flying Vince Lombardi x x x x x x x x x x x Ryan Kerrigan... Funky-style
Hes not an all star but hes a guy who has been doing a lot of good stuff for us this year both in the field and at the plate, and as Nats fans we should root for this to continue, not the opposite

Would be amazing, yeah hes already proven it in the minors he can bat for power, if he can bring that to the big leagues we would be grooming yet another young star

Killing me that there is no game tonight.....I would have never in a million years have guessed that I could love baseball. I finally understand the draw. You can live a baseball season. I haven't personally been this invested in a team or sport in a long, long time. It is incredible.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to watch most of the coverage from my office today. But thanks for reminding me that there is a NBA game tonight..
With the Open and the Nats /Yankees, lots of much watch TV for me this weekend. Shame that the weather is supposed to be so nice.
Welcome to the world of baseball die-hards. Now imagine how we feel when the team isn't competitive...the season drags on forever then. But times like these make it great, especially knowing we're trotting out a great starting pitcher 80% of the time. You'll know you've got the bug when you start evaluating the pitching matchups of divisional opponents on Nats off days, just hoping for a loss and an extra 1/2 game edge.
Second note...**** Baltimore. Lucky sons of bitches got our 4-5-1 starters last series; we lost two close ones and Strasburg win easily. This time around, they're getting our 3-4-5, missing Stras, missing Gio, and getting to face Wang, who I still think is a downgrade from Detweiler. Stupid Orioles.
