Do you know what would be really awesome tonight? If just after the National Anthem, they played a dramatic reading of that snippet of Teddy Roosevelt's "Man in the Arena" speech over the PA system.

ESPN still lists 8:37 for the first pitch.

This team doesn't have the same history of ripping out our hearts, and hopefully they never do.

Yesterday was all about the Nats stepping up and getting it done, which they did in movie fashion. Now the Cards who probably expected to be home have to do it again against our best active pitcher who had a rough start against them last time. So, there are a bunch of fun storylines.

    - Will Gio pitch like a 21 game winner?
    - Will our bats wake up?
    - Will the crowd have an impact?
    - Will Harper break out of his slump?

Young team still. Its a big stage. The Cards are vets....but this is a chance to take a huge step forward.

Gio on regular rest has been fantastic, and I don't recall him ever having two bad starts in a row. His bad starts are always followed by something dominant.

Morgan Freeman reading "Man in the Arena" to a packed Nationals Park would be epic and chilling. Someone get Rizzo on the phone and fly Mr. Freeman in.

    Ah, okay. Gotcha.

I swear though. Adrenaline has been coursing through me all day. It is just too weird. I've rewatched the video of Werth's homer about six times and listened to Charlie Slowe's call about a dozen times. Even though I slept like a baby last night, I am manic today. Like a June bug on a hot skillet. I'm going to game 5, but I need to do some deep breathing exercises or something.

That's cause they haven't had the chance

But they wouldn't do that to us. They've got the natitude. We're going to win tonight, I can feel it in my bones. I've got so much confidence in this team it's ridiculous. I know I'll be freaking out and on the edge of my seat, but I know they will win it.
