Nope, don't feel any better today than I did last night. Still feel like a part of me died last night. Given that the Skins have been mostly bad for 20 years, the Tampa playoff game in 2000 is the only loss I can think of that even come close to reaching this level of pain.

I love baseball, but I just don't see myself having the heart to watch the rest of the playoffs. Certainly not the LCS round.

Death threats to players is way overboard though. Yeah, I'm disappointed in Storen. But does anybody really think anybody in the world feels worse than him right now?

My concern with Storen is that this is the type of game that ruins him for years. Brad Lidge was just about unhittable until he blew that game to the Cards in 2006, and it took him years to recover. And he was much longer-tenured at that point than Storen.

Ya, as I said, that kinda f'd that up. Makes it difficult to keep this whole season in perspective. We haven't had a playoff baseball team in DC in almost 80 years, but they way the team lost was all to familiar.

You'd think some of you guys would be better conditioned for this dealing with the other DC teams, especially the capitals. Is that what the fear is? The Nats will become just like the capitals???

So who do we add this offseason to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Anyone for the Lerners to open up the wallet to? Greinke, despite being crazy? Maybe Josh Hamilton has a re-surgence here?

A better glove in LF? The core is there, what moves do you make to put this team over the top in 2013 and beyond?

Its just dealing with this crap over and over again.

The DC sports fan NEEDS a big breakthrough. Not a first round gut wrenching heart breaker

Word for word Ryskin. I just collapsed when I finally made it home last night didn't even change. Went to sleep with my hat on and everything. Just can't describe the feeling. To go from my biggest high as a sports fan to my biggest low in a matter of minutes. Then I woke up four hours later and as soon ai opened my eyes I started thinking about it again. C couldn't get back to sleep.

And renegade you gotta understand how physically and mentally exhausted the crowd was. I thought about doing the standing ovation thing but I really just had nothing left to give. I can barely swale today my throat hurts so bad from screaming. And I don't think I've ever been to a sporting event where my ears were popping all night from the noise. Like I said never been more proud to be a DC.sports fan.

You want to know how great it was? Not a single person screamed O during the National Anthem. In the whole place. I've been to a **** ton of events here over the years and that's a first. So proud

I can dig, like I said, I get that. Stadium was going nuts that first 3 innings. Been to redskins games, and seen us lose before, so I know what you're talking about.

Grienke is not what we need. honestly i would not mess with the rotation whatsoever. Lannan and Det should be the 4 and 5 starters next year. People give Lannan crap but his ERA has been under 4 for crappy national teams. Next year we need to add another arm in the pen, a CF like span. Please no BJ upton.

Hamilton will demand a huge payday. Greinke might work, but I'd rather bring up a young horse from triple A for pitching. I think you look at more middle relief pitching, move Bryce over to left, and get a better defending CF with a glove and arm and can get on base. Now the question is do you trade Michael Morse and resign Adam LaRoache?

Well some idiots did. It sounded like they were all in one section so you may have not been near there. I was in 112. Fans are so stupid. But the majority of the stadium didn't yell O. DC fans are finally maturing and learning.

I am back and forth on Greinke.

We could get him for a 5 year 100M dollar deal if we let Laroche and Edwin go (who make a combined 20 M)

The staff of him plus the 3 studs already and Det would be devastating.

But he is a head case. However the spotlight wouldn't be on him here with him being in a rotation with Strasburg.

I am not sure if any of the young guns in Triple A are ready for prime time. .Meyer is probably a year away.

I am not sold on Michael Bourne. Upton I am meh on, but he could be solid for a 3 year deal before Godwin is ready.

Greinke is a great pitcher but is he sane?

Today feels just as horrible for me personally. I've reached a point where i'm really not angry at any of the players/Storen and instead feel horrible knowing that they care as much as we do about all of this. The Division Title that we won this season isn't helping how i'm feeling right now but I am truly proud of what this team was able to accomplish this season. I've been with the Nats since day 1 and was able to experience those horrific seasons prior to this year and that experience made this year that much more special. I'm still in shock and mourning regarding how we let it slip away last night but I know that I will heal soon and i'll be ready for another 162 game stretch next season. I feel so sick for Drew, he's a great kid and he will be given a chance for redemption next season.

It was one hell of a ride and even though it ended in agony, damn I love this team.

Bryce is already a pretty good defensive CF. He needs experience more than anything, putting him in LF wastes the asset that is his arm. He's fine where he's at.

We don't really have any starting pitching thats major league ready at Triple A, we dealt those guys to get Gio. We have arms in the minor, but at lower levels.

to me i rather not give another starter more money than Gio, Stras or Zimm who are due for raises soon. I wouldn't even mind getting a guy like Victirino from the Dodgers or Angel Pagan from the giants.
