At least Jackson can give us 7 IP and rest the pen a bit, but with Hamels pitch count high we still have a shot to steal this one late.

Uh-oh, H-Rod warming up![]()
Terrific effort from Jackson. Bats just cant get it going against Hamels tonight.

Leadoff triple and we get nothing.
Just that kind of night.

Henry Rodriguez. sheesh
At this point we cant even say bad HRod because it implies that good Hrod is even possible at this point.![]()

he just cant get 3 outs without some kind of implosion.
****, I missed my HRod post. My bad you all.
Just can't seem to seal the sweep, but no matter. We got the series.
On to Atlanta!
My home town was carved out of swampland.
@chthomas91
I will be in Atlanta on Sunday for the game representing the Nats in the stands! Yay! Can't wait!
After shelling Halladay, it made sense that we would return to typical form and not be able to score on Hamels. Seems like the guy always has our number. I hope he doesn't resign with Philly and gets the hell out of the NL East (NYY, please open your checkbook!).
We're 12-10 in the month of may, with 6 games left (3 at ATL, 3 at MIA). Even if we lose both series but avoid getting swept (2-4), we'll be .500 for the month. Not too shabby when you consider all the HRod blowups and how banged up most of our lineup has been. We should be getting Morse back in 2ish weeks, and Storen in about a month. If we can stay afloat until those two guys return, we should still be hanging around come Fall.

Rest In Peace, #21.
Gone but never forgotten.

What's frustrating to me is that the Nats are now 0-9 I think in games where they can pull off a sweep. I wonder what the record is for total number of series wins without getting a sweep in there somewhere.
