Haters outside the region mention that the Nats are mishandling Strasburg. Donald Trump went to twitter and said the Nats will rue the day they put Strasburg on an innings limit. What does that have to do with anything? The Nats didn't lose Game 5 or the series because of Strasburg. They were up 6-0 in Game 5.

    They are handling Strasburg fine

Just don't put him on innings limit next year

maybe we should have walked kouza to force mott out of the game when the game was tied at 7

Wake up the next morning, and I am still in pain.

Not even the Redskins hurt me this bad before. This really messed me up. I am messed up right now

Gone, but not forgotten... RIP RP

That's an interesting idea...but then you just put another run on base. Good point though!

Why wasn't Garcia used in Game 4 or 5? Wtf? Why was edwin brought in? Why was Stammen used in the first 3 games? Is Jackson that much better than Lannan? he wasn't worth 11 mil this year!

I would say "Thank you, but no thank you" to Jackson. The guy just went down hill down the stretch.

We need to use the money from jackson on DeNard Span or some kind of leadoff hitter.

Every other thought is about that game right now

We did not deserve what happened last night. That was torture.

They might be hesitant to lock up any lead-off man long term if they think Brian Goodwin will be major league ready within the year.

why would it matter though? There is no difference in that situation.

It was the top of the 9th...the number of runs scored absolutely matters. In a walk off situation it doesn't matter, but every extra run the Cards score after tying the game makes a huge difference when you only have 3 outs to work with.

Looking back in retrospect after a terrible night, I don't think this team was going fair well even if they won. They didn't have all the pitching there and couldn't get the hits when they needed them. It took until the 8th to get just 1 run. Bullpen issues, especially at the back end are there and would have come up. This team isn't complete yet and hopefully next year they will be. 2012 will be a great year to build on and hopefully next year, they'll be ready for the next level.

This is probably bad timing as Nats Nation is still mourning....

But could the whole "madden cover/magazine cover" thing be real? Just a week after the "DC sports" themed issue of ESPN Magazine released, both the Orioles and Nationals had EPIC meltdowns and lost their series, and RG3 suffers his first NFL concussion.

And if you really wanna reach, John Wall went down for 6-8 weeks about 6 days before the "DC" issue released, but it was definitely in the works.

This was going to happen if they didn't win the World Series. I commend Rizzo for doing what he did with Strasburg, he put that kids future ahead of the team which in my opinion is something most in his position would not do.

I think allowing Molina to take second in the ninth was silly. Maybe I don't understand the whole concept behind that, it just doesn't make sense to me?
