Garcon and Morgan will start outside with Hankerson getting snaps when he's fully healthy.

Moss plays the slot. Gaffney isn't ideal there. I think its probably as simple as that.

Gaffney is also TERRIBLE in terms of YAC, which Shanahan values. With RG3, Moss should tear it up in terms of YAC. He led the league a year or two ago in that category I believe.

Who cares? This isn't about Griffin's #10. Its about Gaffney.

Edit: Unless you're just responding to the guy talking about a custom Griffin #10 jersey. Sorry!

I would have to think that the Jaguars would be at or near the top of the list. They have had a hell of a time getting decent wide receivers there and Gaffney would definitely be an upgrade. I would also think that Gaffney would not mind that move, as he is originally from Jacksonville.

Yeah I'm really chomping at the bit to make the big purchase myself, but I agree, I'm sure we'll find out by mid May at the very latest what his number is, and whether they'll allow the "III" on the back. After all, $250-300 is a lot to spend only to find out the number is wrong!

I'd gladly take a 6th this year. There's no room for him on the outside with Morgan and Garcon, not to mention Hankerson, and Moss has got the slot (and I bet we draft a future slot WR).

In terms of WR I think 4 of the spots are already locked.

    1) Garcon
    2) Hankerson
    3) Paul
    4) Morgan

don't think Moss will make the roster this year, especially if we draft a WR.

How is Paul a "lock" for anything?

Plus, with a rookie QB you'd prefer to have an established vet who has at least played in the system for a few years, so I'd imagine Moss would be more of a lock than Paul.

I think you both are underestimating Aldrick Robinson a little bit. Shanahan saw enough in him to both draft him and bring him on board last year to keep him with the team. The kid was raw last year and the lights were a little too bright in preseason but he has speed to burn and word his he busted his ass this offseason to fine-tune his route-running. I think he can fill in that spot if needed and is more ready than any of those guys. We drafted 3 capable receivers last year and picked up another 2 young guys in FA this year. Along with Moss, WR is not a position we really need to be using picks for this year given depth needs and needs in general at other positions.

I doubt they would do it this early before the draft, but they could. (And I would be bumping my "Redskins trade back up into the 2nd rd?") if it did.

I could see the Bengals being interested, with the loss of Jerome Simpson.
    Redskins 3rd #69 & 4th #109 & Jabar Gaffney
    for
    Bengals 2nd rd #53 & #191 in the 6th rd.

    or

Denver Broncos with the loss of Eddie Royal

Same type of deal, but for their #57 pick in the 2nd rd & #188 in the 6th.

Or maybe Baltimore Ravens with the loss of Lee Evans?

    Maybe a deal to them?

    We shall see..

Buccos are looking to trade Talib too. Would a strait up Talib for Gaffney trade make sense? How desperate are the Bucs to move Talib? Would Shanny take on a guy with off-field problems who could be facing a suspension and maybe jail time? Positives - Talent wise Talib would be our #1 corner, is still young and would only count against our cap about 1 million next yr, flourished under Morris in TB, Negatives - Off-Field Problems, could face suspension/jail, in last yr of contract.

Would the Bucs even do this? If not would you throw in a late pick next yr too? What say you?

Lee Evans wasn't a loss, Smith took his job part way through the year and proved to be an explosive guy. Gaffney wouldn't take Evan's old role on that team.

I would trade anything less than our higher 4th for Talib as long as he's not facing immediate, long-term jail time. He's worth the risk.

But they don't need Gaffney at all. They just signed VJ, and they already had Mike Williams, Briscoe, and Benn.

Pretty sure someone on Twitter broke this yesterday. But yea, i would be surprised if we get much for him. Maybe the Pats would be interested in brining him back?

Sell when his relative value is high.

    I like it.

Hopefully we can get a 5th or 6th for him, but wouldn't mind a 7th.
