    Overall a C.

    Yeah! We got RG III but we gave up a ton of picks (2 first rounders -- which the Skins need to build for the future). And, I SURE DO hope that he truly is the FRANCHISE QB we ALL have been waiting for!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Love the RG III and Kurt Cousins picks. The rest not so much. None of them come from a top program and/or have good draft reviews. ''
    We need a STUB RT, and a FS .... and, we addressed neither pressing needs.
    It would have been great if we drafted a disruptive NT.
    Why on earth would we want a RT who's missing a limb?
    C+/B-
    I watched most of the draft real time which allows you to see the draftees in conjunction with the players that were available at the time they were selected.
    In that context I can't say i'm happy with the draft itself but I like most of the prospects, if that makes any sense.
    I love the focus on the OL, all the guys are scheme fits.
    LeRibeus is a potential year 1 starter (per Gil Brandt), Gettis has talent, Compton based on how poor Jammal Brown has been has a chance to challege.
    I like Keenan Robinson as a special teams contributor and development starting ILB prospect.
    And I defer completely to Bobby Jackson when it comes to RBs, if he drafted you I would think he sees something in you that you don't see.
    I HATE the Cousins pick though.
    Our scouting department does a good job of finding contributing players in the middle to late rounds and drafting Cousins seems like a waste of a potential impact prospect.
    No sense in crying over spilled milk but we could have drafted Alameda Ta'amu or Brandon Boykins or Jarius Wright or George Iloka etc...
    I don't know a thing about the late round DBs but i'm not going to gripe about using late round picks to address an area where we need players.
    My first impression is that we're in the B to B- range
    We got our QB and OL help.
    We took a shot at some LB and DB depth.
    I would have preferred locking in some DB's earlier, but the OL picks were welcome news.
    I'm assuming there's a FA DB that we have our eye on, or they would've hit that trail harder.
    I am curious to see how the OT Compton pans out. He could pay off huge in a year or two.
    -Hail !
    A solid B.
    We get a franchise QB (and a backup)
    Solid oline depth with hopefully a starter
    An eventual replacement for Fletcher
    DB depth for competition (maybe we find a diamond)
    Must admit the Cousins pick was a headscratcher at first but the more I think about it the more I like it. Should RGIII get sick or injured I cant stand the thought of the sex cannon making a return.
    On a side note, has anyone else noticed that RGIII has gotten more national press than all of the other picks combined? He has completely overshadowed Luck. I can see this guy becoming an media/global icon, like a Lebron.
    Most fans wish their team had the first pick in the draft each year. I would be happy with the 32nd.
    QB RGIII - A: Would be A+ if we'd given up less. Still well worth it.
    OG LeRibeus - B+: Low on the consensus board, but if you watch the guy play he's perfect for the ZBS. Strong upper body too. Probably a starting guard by 2013. Well worth it.
    QB Cousins - B: Get RGIII and his backup in one draft? Pretty good. Maybe there was other talent here, but he's a decent pick nonetheless. And the pick becomes "A" 2 years from now. if he pulls a Kolb.
    ILB Robinson - B+: Projects to ILB, which we need. Good need draft pick, and he'll be learning from the best there is.
    OG Gettis - A-: Maybe a tinge undersized, but he's projected as a solid ZBS guard. We added good depth across the interior line which is huge considering what happened last year.
    RB Morris - C: Decent young RB. If he can find his niche he'll be a solid backup RB. Only concern is that we might have had him later.
    OT Compton: A+: As late as we got him, he's a steal. He should be solid depth at least, if not a future starter at RT.
    DB Crawford: B: Normally a guy like this, who plays the slot (a weakness of ours) and who returns punts, would be an A in the 7th, but I feel like there might have been better talent out there. Still a good pick-up though
    DB Bernstine B+: Good pickup. Hybrid of CB/S and has special teams value. Solid pickup this late.
    Overall, I'd give it a solid B+. Hit lots of needs, and if it's anything like last year we'll be laughing all the way to the playoffs.
    A note, while UDFAs are still shaking out, I feel much better about our secondary pickups now that we've signed Minnifield. If he's healthy he's probably a starter by week 9ish in the slot.
    I don't know exactly how to grade the draft as I'm not a draft nut, but on the surface, I like this draft a lot.
    RGIII is one of the better qb prospects in years. Mature, intelligent, good thrower, good movement... not a lot of questions other than experience in the pro-style.
    3 offensive linemen... how can you not be over the moon about this considering how terrible our line has been for four years! I don't know if they got it right, but the focus was finally there.
    Cousins... some people had him as a second round prospect... we got him in the fourth. I have no problem with best athlete/player available after the first two rounds.
    Running back... Gibbs was wonky for tight ends. Shanny likes running backs. What can ya do?
    Linebacker... Sounds like a nickle backer. A linebacker who's good in space and coverage is very valuable. Again, I like what I read.
    One corner and one safety... Hoping their small school gems. They're both 7th rouders and I have no idea.
    The areas were right... we'll no more about the players through minicamps, preseason, and especially two or three years down the road.
    I give it a C
    I liked last year's draft better. I think our day 2 and 3 picks made more sense in 2011. If it wasn't for the aggressive move to get a franchise QB, the grade would be worse.
    You are dreaming ... if you think we are going to get a 1st round pick for Cousins.
    I like Cousins ... But, there is good reason why he was picked where he was. He has a weak arm, and his deep balls are inaccurate and lacks velocity. He has issues throwing to the left side of the field.
    I was only half serious, but to think that Shanahan can't develop Cousins into a quality QB that we can deal off down the road makes no sense.
    Again, Kolb netted a 2nd rounder and a starting CB, and he threw more INTs than TDs before the trade.
    Carson Palmer was traded for what was expected to be two first rounders, and he was fully in decline and sat out half the year.
    This league is desperate for quality starting QBs and if Shanny can develop Cousins into one, I have no doubt we'll easily get a fine return on our investment.
    Although I don't know much about some of these guys, I'd say B+. We grabbed our QB and I was hoping all along that we'd draft a second QB. You always need that backup and even though Rex knows the system HE isn't good enough. I loved the fact we got some Oline and hope they make for a strong line in years to come. Getting an Lb was needed the rest are hopefuls. RG3 will get the snaps and I hope Cousins doesn't get frustrated as we will need a good backup. At the very least he can learn and maybe end up being a trade for picks guy later. Here's hoping we are singing Hail victory more often this year!!! HTTR!
