Troy repeated and JT didnt. Joe had his chance and unfortunately failed as a team leader in SBXVIII. He would be HOF by now if they had won that game vs LA. He actually told me about them lounging by the pool and having cocktails in the week leading up to SBXVIII. Said the Skins didnt know what hit them when the game started. As a team leader, he must share the blame with the othe captains and coach staff. Those of us old enough to remember can recall that JT was very outspoken and a bit of a diva for that time period. Sometimes it worked out well for the Redskins and sometimes it didn't.
Theismann's tenure was a great because his stability at qb position was absolute. He was charismatic and had a high football IQ. He never got hurt until the horiffic MNF tragedy. If RG3 can be at least as good as JT, he will be considered a successful pick.
