Personally, I agree with most of Ted's views and totally respect his lifestyle, but I would prefer if ALL musicians would just shut the hell up and play. Since that ain't happening though, I try to tune out all the jabber and appreciate the music.
Ummm... you don't remember major Dixie Chicks boycotting and effectively the derailing and the destruction of their musical career after their comments. It was made into a pretty gigantic deal.

Such would probably be the same reasons some people appear to live in a distorted world of crippled perceptions, struggling with all the reasoning acuity of a small soap dish.

Yeah if anything, the whole Dixie Chicks controversy highlights the hypocrisy of the Right.

President Bush: Don't criticize a wartime president!!! Bulldoze their albums and boycott!!!

President Obama: Yessssss!!!! Suck on a machine gun!!!!! Hardy har har

It was another fun DS moment when Stewart showed Insanity Hannity ranting about Obama inviting Common to the WH on Fox Newts and then followed it with clips of Sean calling Numbgent "a great American" and having him on the show, slurping him up, followed by clips of Turd's colorful concert commentary. Hypocrisy is plentiful in all politics, but in the GOP it's like hair on King Kong. That level of hypocrisy is an inevitable part of what you get when so fervently peddling a constantly preachy chest-thumping shtick.

He's got a right to speak his mind same as anyone else. And he'll pay for it just anyone else too. I like his music outside of the over the top public figure bozo he has cultivated becoming.

It's too bad I have a hard time picturing the lunatic raving on stage I saw Intensitiesintencities swinging from stack to stack instead of the fool in a camo cowboy hat. With camo seat covers in his NRA sticker covered Expedition and the best gear available by money or sponsorship, killing two black bears for the price of one in Alaska. Poaching mother ****er is all I have to say but Great White Buffalo is still a great song. Sad about the white calf killed and skinned in Texas this week. I'd say I'm a moderate for sure.

Nah, you don't get to do that.

You have to carry the burden of an endangered specie---an intelligent conservative. Burg has to do it for the libs, so you're stuck. Neither of you do it alone, if it's any consolation.

Jon's an actual and deliberate professional comedian on an openly acknowledged comedy network (Fox should change their mantle).

Meanwhile, most of we tailgaters just occupy this preserve for internet posters whose pontifications no one else takes seriously, working their shtick for free.

I was going to suggest you sell the 8 track, rather than burn it, as it must be an antique and thus worth something. Then I looked it up:

    http://compare.ebay.com/like/2510371...Types&var=sbar

    Only worth $5.25. Burn away.

Ted Nugent: It might have been best if South won Civil War

Worried about the legacy of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America, Ted Nugent is now pondering whether the world would have been better off had the Confederate States, which fought to sever the union, been victorious in the Civil War.

The Detroit-born rocker and outspoken conservative activist writes in a new op-ed for The Washington Times of his fundamental fear of what he calls "Fedzilla," or a government with a social safety net. Triggered by Chief Justice John Roberts voting to uphold President Obama's Affordable Care Act -- but calling the mandate to buy insurance a tax instead of a penalty -- Nugent says, "Because our legislative, judicial and executive branches of government hold the 10th Amendment in contempt, I’m beginning to wonder if it would have been best had the South won the Civil War. Our Founding Fathers’ concept of limited government is dead."

I'm beginning to think it might have been best if Nugent died in a fiery plane crash after recording Cat Scratch Fever. It's all been downhill from there.
