Lot of complaining from the camp to the left. It's not as if the left has not done the same exact thing many times and this business about the Right doing it more is also a bunch of BS. I mean, complaining is fine but it won't solve anything. Both sides do it and neither side is any more or any less guilty of it.

    Carry on.

Wow, do you go to a class to be this obstinate or is it just a gift?
You took the word "significant" which was obviously being used to describe "substantial" or "weighty" and turned it to mean "sentimental" or "favored".

    Ah.

So your point was "well, the Republicans haven't filibustered everything. Resolutions to name post offices after people, they usually let through. As long it's named after a Republican."?

Well, the authors saw this one coming didn't they?

Let's be honest, the authors did not absolve the democrats either. They just pointed out that the GOP has moved further to the right and has taken a stand to not compromise a single thing unless its politically advantageous to do so.

my point was simply his using the word 'everything' was wrong.....but it is always fun to see what you interpret from a post

It's like they had a crystal ball or something...maybe an functioning brain stem.
And you're right, at no point did the authors ordain the Dems as all that is holy...nor would the authors do such a thing since they're conservatives.

Get off it...you know full well that it was employed rhetorically...feigned ignorance is less becoming than authentic ignorance.

Destroy our credit rating, entertain 30% unemployment, entertain defaulting on our debt, destroy all social safety nets; that along with their belief that all sources of information which they don't control directly are entirely illegitimate.

OK guys. If you say so but it still sounds like a lot of complaining that is going to solve what? I'm pretty sure nothing gets fixed, based off of this article.

You call it complaining...but seriously if the GOP doesn't start speaking words of correction (interpreted here as "complaining") about itself then how will anything get fixed? And if the GOP chooses the course of killing off those who offer words of correction as RINOs or media hacks then doesn't the GOP set a course for reinforced group thinking?

Well, seems to me that the GOP has put forth 3 Budget Bills and none of them have come to the floor of the Senate for Vote. How is this the fault of the GOP? Seems to me that the President has submitted two different Budgets both have been voted down. I don't even know that either budget proposal received a single vote on either side of the isle so how is this just the GOP?

Here's my take...feel free to call me biased
GOP House Budget: Cut Social Spending as low as humanly possible...Don't touch out of control Defense Spending
Obama Budget: Cut Social Spending in areas of accountability, increasing in others, close tax loopholes and increase taxation in areas where there is imbalance.
Gee wonder why the GOP won't pass Obama's and I wonder why the GOP's won't get a vote in the House.
Just as the Conservative Op/Ed authors stated, the GOP aren't coming to the table looking to negotiate, they are coming to dictate.
