You know, Adidas has done this before with team zissou shoes from the movie "The life aquatic".
My understanding is that Originally they didn't produce them until pressure from consumers. They were then produced in a limited quantity and have not been manufactured by Adidas again even though you can clearly see, those shoes kick ass. There are online "replicas" of the shoes available.

Goodness Gracious....I guess they won't be making them anymore since they are $250 dollars on Ebay!!!! You can get his autograph for less than that on there sometimes!!!!

Yeah apparently they only produced 150 pairs total.

I have a pair still sealed in the bag. I'll trade someone for an authentic helmet or an RG3 signed jersey. These socks went for like 250 on Ebay and dudes weren't even sealed like mine.

I was at Walmart in Front Royal with my sister when I found 2 reusable grocery bags with Redskins logo, and they had one pair of Redskins slippers, which miraculously, fit my teeny-tiny feet. I bought 3 shirts at the Walmart in Winchester. My mother was impressed with my Redskins shopping ability.
But I want the effing socks, man!!
