Grossi says Weeden has the strongest arm the team has seen in years and accuracy reminiscent of Bernie Kosar.
Funny how this comes out soon after reports of "the Arm" start circulating. What a joke.

The matter in which they are trying to sell this guy is quite comical and from what I've seen from tapes during Browns OTA's, im not eating the bullsh!t off the lobster platter. Colt will be the starter after the first Steelers game whether it be injury or incompetence. Book it!
That's funny. Was just saying the same thing.

I was just thinking the same thing LFS actually. Im more interested in the fact that they have been somewhat hush on Trent Richardson's progression as an RB as well. I could definitely see the Browns flopping on two 1st rounders with Heckert and Holmgren running the show lol

No matter what they tell themselves to feel better about taking a soon-to-be 29 year old QB in round 1, they're idiots.

Browns are looking dumber by the day. Don't even get me started about taking a RB in the top-5 as well.

I think what he meant by "collusion" was when Holmgren (or their GM, can't remember) basically said that it didn't matter what the Browns offered--that the Rams were only going to trade with the Skins, effectively taking the "free market" out of the equation and instead using a behind-the-scenes relationship to determine things. At the time a lot of people thought the Browns were trying to 'splain to their fans why they missed out on RG3.

Anyway, as to the topic, I found it a bit insulting that they claimed Griffin was "eager to show how fast he was"...

this guy that we had to settle for at the bottom of the first round was totally the guy we wanted all along.

in other news, please disregard everything we've said before right now because it might conflict with what we're saying now.

They sound like a rejected teenage girl. Colt McCoy is 6'1 215 and Weeden is almost 30.

The Browns will go to the Super Bowl......shortly after lunch. They've found their franchise QB, Weeden.... That organization is ridiculous. HTTR

The Browns didn't like Matt Flynn either: "No bigger than McCoy with a similarly popgun arm. He was never seriously considered."

Or Ryan Tannehill: "His maturity as a quarterback and field leader were so lacking that he turned them off in personal interviews. He didn’t project as a leader."
For the record, Flynn is 6-2, 225 while McCoy is 6-1, 215.

And if I remember correctly, Tannehill's intangibles (leadership) were what sold him as a first round to go with his upside, despite his rawness.

Weeden might turn out to be a decent QB, but for them to say all of this is laughable. Holmgren and Heckert have really zero credibility anyway after how much they declared they were behind McCoy. They did the exact opposite of what we did in 2011's draft. They needed a QB, and reached on one for the sake of having one, while we actually didn't (even though Gabbert fell right into our laps).

Kevin Sheehan on ESPN 980 keeps saying he has concerns about RG3's size, suggesting he is small. RG3 is pretty much the same in weight and height as Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo. I think at times RG3 might appear smaller than he really is because he is very lean and has little body fat. His 225 lbs. is mostly lean muscle, where other QBs his weight and height have more body fat, with less muscle.

Then why did they draft Colt McCoy in 2010?
