TMZ: COLT BRENNAN Popped for DUI and Drugs

Colt Brennan -- a 2007 Heisman Trophy finalist -- was arrested for DUI in Hawaii this morning ... and cops say drugs were involved.

The former University of Hawaii star quarterback -- who later spent a couple of disappointing years in the NFL -- was arrested at 11:50 PM Wednesday.

According to HawaiiNewsNow.com, the 28-year-old was busted for suspicion of drunken driving and promotion of a dangerous drug in the third degree -- aka drug possession.

It is unclear what kind of drug Colt is accused of possessing.

Let's see....

- Arrested for sexual assault while at Colorado but doesn't remember it happening
- Apparently used substances while at UH, even on the eve of his Sugar Bowl disaster when he was exposed as a fraud
- Washes out of the NFL (wasted 6th round pick), UFL, and CFL
- Get's into a mysterious accident with his weirdo girlfriend that puts someone in a coma and almost paralyzes her but he doesn't remember what happened
- Gets busted for DUI and drugs (insert excuse here)

I don't feel sorry for him at all.....I tend to feel sorry for the people who he's assaulted/injured/could have potentially injured.

Dude is a loser and needs to mature.....and this doesn't even belong in "Around the NFL". Just my two cents (and no, I'm not perfect...but was never put up on a pedestal like this guy was in here).

Last month, Brennan was released by the Saskatchewan Roughriders two days before the first preseason game. He was competing for a back-up position on the Canadian Football League team.

Wow, reading the ES archives threads from 4 years ago you would have thought this guy was the next Tom Brady.

I remember going to a game when he was a rookie and seeing somebody with a Colt Brennan jersey. They didn't even sell them so this guy paid over 100 dollars to get one of the personalized ones off NFL.com. For a 6th round pick who had one good pre-season game.

I guess desperation does a lot of strange things to people.
