Man going back and reading some The Cult of Colt stuff is downright hysterical. People sure were enamored with him. He is the Ryan Leaf of Hawaii.

I remember the Cult days. I think I was a new member then. LizKuai was pretty nice if I recall correctly.

The Cult of Colt was the worst. Glad those days are over around here. He was like a mini Tebow.

That is insulting Tebow. He actually played during the regular season, won in the post-season, and doesn't have a criminal record.

Now I'm willing to confess my ignorance here. I've never seen the effects of drugs up close and personal... Does he really look like he's on drugs in that video? To me he just looks a little fidgety.

I never understood the obsession. He played in a Run-n-Gun system that got debunked against the big boys. I'll never forget that game. Then I was mortified when we picked him and buried when I saw that cult of colt crap. Where's all the other collegiate passing phenoms? Did any of the other UH,Texas Tech, or Houston QB'S make it in the NFL? No, because gimmick offenses don't work in the pros. Ask Tebow, you gotta be able to do it all.

Well the Redskins run a "gimmicky" offense with the read option and it seems to be working. Not too long ago the read option would have been labeled a college offense not suitable for the pros. Times change, the game and players evolve. Like someone mentioned earlier, if you have the right talent you can succeed with almost any type of system.
