Thorpe's only problem is the man behind him calling the plays. Doesn't matter how many pts JMU is down Mickey will still try to triple option his way to victory. I miss Landers ... now there was a stud JMU qb haha.
Hail Skins .... whether we win or lose ... I have faith in this team.

Any Towson fans coming down this weekend for the game? Should be a good one

I mean he has a great career record - don't get me wrong - but I just really hate his "first option isn't open so let me run instead of checking options 2 and 3" approach. I think you have to be able to pass occasionally against the good teams in order to go deep into the playoffs and Thorpe has never shown me he can do that consistently. He was overthrowing wide open receivers running fly routes by 15 yards in the early games this year.
I don't know if that is his only problem, but I have certainly grown tired of Mickey's approach to offense over the years. Landers was a stud but he was also much more of a threat to pass the ball downfield on any given play (obviously a freak athlete as well). I'd love for Thorpe to prove me wrong but it's going to take a big change for me to ever be confident he can make the throws needed to win a playoff game against a good defense that can slow down the JMU running game.

Really looking forward to the day when they can knock down and rebuild the other side.

The Towson/JMU was a mess of a game. Sloppy play all around.
I will say your team doesn't take kindly to any bit of heckling from the fans. I'm not even talking vulgar material, just the usual joke around. They were livid and kept going back and forth with us. Once JMU scored, they were no where to be found
EDIT: also JMU is very tough to play at normally, I was surprised how loud the stadium was considering it was family weekend. That traditionally is our quietest crowd
