WTF did he do?
WTF did he do?
Drug crap. Stupid kids.
Saw it on twitter. Any idea what he did?
Reports are saying 3rd time he's failed a drug test. He can't stay away from the weed.
Sucks to lose him, but LSU is still loaded on defense. LSU is a top team with or without him.

Seeing a lot of revisionist history. Was Mathieu a great cover guy? No. Did he make game-changing plays that every team would want? Yes.
wow. i said he was overrated but i didn't think he wouldn't even be playing. shouldn't hurt LSU too much.
He was a tad overrated and got beat many times. He was an okay defender but a spectacular special teams player.
yea but at the end of the day he was a game changer.... reminds me of our very own deangelo hall... overrated, yet talented, cant cover to save his life, but has good ball hawking instincts and can change a game (for either team) with those instincts...
I think that he gave up 1 TD in 2 years at CB. Outside of the National Championship and 1 big play against Tennessee, he more than held his own in coverage. Also, he is a fumble causing machine. LSU is loaded on defense so while it will hurt to lose him, LSU should be fine.

Over/under on how many hits it took him to get over the news of being kicked off the team
i mean he was a playmaker no doubt. he had a nose for the ball. but as a corner he was very suspect and was exposed in the BCSNCG. exposed by a true sophmore w/ no real weapons at WR. He's too small to play corner. He was a spectacular player on teams.... but think about that. a special team player gets a nickname that goes viral and is a heisman finalist? I'd say that's over rated. not even devin hester is in the conversation for league MVP.
I think to call he just a special teams player is underratting him big time. Outside of the National Championship game, when did he have a bad game in coverage?

ok to be fair he wasn't just a teams player.... but really his body of work was just last season. Because the year before PP7 was the # 1 and Claiborne was the #2. Also this year Mo clairborne was a true shut down CB and left on an island. so the Honey Badger always had safety help. And i do recall he was suspended a few games last year for synthetic weed. so were talking about a body of work that consists of maybe 10 games none of which he was asked to check the primary WR, and yet he is a heisman finalist and won the top CB award. he wasn't even the best CB on his team. Not even a top 3 player on that D. Not saying he is a bad player. just overrated. perhaps a more accurate statement is the media hype around him was crazy overrated.
