If it was any other conference, a 7-0 start would be met with skepticism based on playing cupcakes and weak conference teams.
    Agreed, but also think that Leesburg is right. Can't imagine K-State putting up a fight against them.

Yet all we hear about is how the SEC is dominant and the rest of the conferences are not strong top to bottom. SEC and Big-10 each have 4 teams winless in conference play. ACC has 2. Big 12 has 2. Big East has 3. Pac 12 has 2.

    The SEC is overrated this season. Alabama's strength of schedule should be putrid:

    Michigan
    Western Kentucky
    @Arkansas 2-2, 3-4
    FAU
    Ole Miss 1-2, 4-3
    @Mizzou 0-4, 3-4
    @Tennessee 0-4, 3-4
    Miss St 3-0, 7-0
    @LSU 3-1, 7-1
    Texas A&M 2-2, 5-2
    Western Carolina
    Auburn 0-5, 1-6
    Mizzou beat Zona st. and UCF non conference. Miss St. is undefeated. aTm is a solid team w/ Johnny Football. and @ LSU and Michigan are strong games for us. And as lame of an answer as it may be, TN and Auburn are traditional rivalries that are never gimmes. now compare that to Kst who's only non conf. game of note was miami and the rest of the big 12 is poo poo this year. WVU is a one trick pony. OK lacks leadership and has looked very inconsistant. Texas? Tex Tech? come on now let's be fair.

    Oregon's nonconf. schedule Arkansas State, Fresno State and Tennessee Tech . They pretty much have a 3 game season Stanford, USC and the Beavers who may not be undefeated by the time they play. I agree this is one of the weakest schedules we've had in years but we scheduled Michigan and its not our fault Bobby P. was drinking and riding w/ his mistress. Honestly the only team outside of the SEC that can claim strength of schedule is the Irish for a change.

    I understand all the SEC hate but don't be critical of our schedule w/o looking at the rest of the conferences. Just because we make it look easy vs Michigan and Mizou doesn't mean they are terrible teams. Bama, LSU, Florida, GA, MSU and USCe will all put the smack down on just about whoever they play in a bowl game. Thats 6 really strong high profile bowl wins for us at the end of the year. what other conference can say that? Sure they'll send more to terrible bowls that no one watches in Dec. But lets be real here. there are probably less then 10 teams in the country that can beat any of those 6 teams from the SEC. So call us overrated in January.

    So basically you just stated exactly what every other conference states. Rivalries, always tough, yada yada. Look, the SEC for YEARS has looked down their nose at the rest of CFB and said "we are the best conference, top to bottom. The worst team in the SEC could win most other conferences". People took it, because it was almost true. Well this year, it doesn't. the bottom 7 teams in the SEC (HALF the conference) blow donkey balls. And when Miss St loses 2 games and is unranked again, you will be left with Alabama, Florida & LSU as the only worthy SEC teams (or UGA will beat Florida and ruin that for the SEC). EVERYONE remembers when the SEC was mocking Mizzou and "aTm" as "jokes" from the Big 12. Now all of a sudden they are worthy? Pathetic. The SEC is the most overrated conference in football this year. Alabama is not THAT good this year. LSU is hiding a freshman at QB. The mad hatter doesn't trust him to throw the ball when it is needed. Florida STRUGGLED against Bowling Green, and Struggled with Vandy. And we all know the other USC was WAY overrated.

    It ain't hate, it's reality. SEC teams play cupcakes for OOC games and rely on the "overall strength" of the conference to carry strength of schedule. Well, this year it doesn't hold. Don't make excuses.5-25, 18-32. You can't spin that.

    Its true the SEC is down this year. might be the worst Auburn team in decades. Arkansas' unexpected collapse. and Tennesee's dooley experiment is coming to a close. But Florida's back and this may be the best game cocks team ever. All i'm saying is look at the other conferences too. you can spit out all these anti SEC stats but realistically give me a conference that has a legit gripe. Big 12? Kst is clearly the class of the conference but because they aren't texas and OK no one cares. Pac-12? 3 team conference. Big 10? lol probably the worst year for the conference ever. ACC? Big East? If not the SEC then who?

    The best Cocks team ever? Florida just drug them up and down the field all day 44-11. And they lost to LSU last weekend. A 2 loss team as good? SEC fans laughed at anyone suggesting a 2 loss team should be discussed in the BCS.

    Oregon should be #1. They whoop a ranked team on Thursday night on the road, playing their scrubs after half. How do they get rewarded? Jumped by K-State in rankings. If Alabama runs the table, and wins the SECCG they will play in the BCSCG. If Oregon runs the table? Who knows. If K State runs the table? Oregon has the speed to counter Alabama -- ask Auburn. All the arguments used by SEC supporters against other conferences are now being ignored by SEC supporters. That is all I am saying.

    So Oregon should be #1 because they drummed ranked zona st? The same zona st that lost to according to u lost to a very bad mizzou team who coincidentally Is winless in the SEC and also got drmmed by Bama backups as well. Makes sense, winless SEC team beats a 3-1 in conf pac12 team and the SEC is overrated. And ducks beat a 2 loss zona team and they deserve a "reward" yet a 2 loss USCe team is obviously not good because they lost @ LSU and @FL in consecutive weeks? Seems fair.

    If the ducks win out they will be in the show because ksu will not have a conf chip to play in. Thus ducks are in so i dont get why u think they are getting screwed. And by Alabama and the SEC no less.

    So you admit the SEC is down this year, but you think they deserve to be ranked as the best conference and pump up each others strength of schedule? Even though you and others have screamed for years when other conferences sucked? When you do that, you gotta call your own conference for that BS. Alabama gas played a VERY weak schedule to date. Michigan is literally the best team they played. If we were talking about a Big 10 school, every SEC fan would use tat same argument to diminish said teams worthiness. Yet because it is Alabama, they get a pass? Why should Alabama be ranked #1 based on this season?

    Correction Oregon could get screwed by an undefeated Irish team, although i think its unlikely

    I admit that the SECwest is down but also think it is still the best conference. If u disagree convince me of another. If someone is overrated it seems reasonable that someone is underrated. I asked for Ur opinion on who the best conf is and u reply with more SEC hate instead of a legit argument for someone else.

    Does Bamas resume deserve a #1 ranking? No. I can say it and frankly u can have it. Cuz w#1,2 hell 5 , we still contol our own fate. Win and we are in. Same goes for ducks and ND and Ksu. It will play itself out. So i dont think anyone can feel like they are getting screwed in week8. Too much football left. Personally i think ND has the best resume so far followed by the gators. So why is Bama#1? cuz every single coach in the nation thinks so. And the media with votes also cosign on it. On this board im the only only one saying bama isnt a done deal. Cuz honestly this is probably the weakest bama team since 2008. But for the life of me i cant think who is a better choice for #1.

    The ACC suspended the head official and reprimanded the rest from the FSU-UM game for their handling of the 10 second run off rule at the end of the first half. With this and the debacle in the VT-Clemson game, I think Swofford has no choice but to address how bad the officiating is in the conference. The optimist in me hopes they they'll start calling games fairly, the realist in me realizes that nothing is gonna change for FSU until they leave the conference.

    So who has the best chance of beating Alabama? Florida? Oregon?

    K-State and ND probably can't do it. Florida likes to run and Driskell is meh passing. Oregon looks electric right now but really hasn't played anyone of difficulty

    Swofford won't do a damn thing.

    There really wasn't a debacle in our game with Clemson.

    Clemson would have won easily regardless. Just a bad break
    The hotter the heat, the harder the steel, no pressure no diamonds, we compete, we win

    We are the next decade of the Washington Redskins

    Terrible calls, and the fumble that they ****ed up even with a review was inexcusable but it didn't affect the outcome of the game.

    USC would come the closest IMO. But it would still probably be a 24-10 type loss.
