Until Stinespring is fired, nothing is going to change. The playcalling was terrible last night. This offense is terrible. Miami has one of the worst defenses in the country and VT still couldn't take advantage of that. That's a problem on the coaches.

And? I saw all that. So what? Special Teams and defense are a part of the game...

I don't know how full or how loud Miami's stadium was last night, but perhaps someone should ask Mr. Thomas if it matters.

The stadium was about 1/3 full. It was pretty quiet, yo yhe point you could hear the on-field smack talk and every single word of the VT audibles.

I really doesn't matter what the opposing fans are doing when you shoot yourself in the foot over and over and over and over. The defense played a decent game considering their offense put them on a short field 3 times. But as per the norm, when they needed a stop they couldn't get one. When they needed a drive for points, they couldn't get one. This team is not good. When you are not good, how full/loud the opposing stadium is doesn't matter.

Ummm, STs didn't really block the punt. The punter trapped the ball against his chest and took 3 seconds after that to try to kick the ball. The interception hit the LB in the face if he didn't catch it. The dropped snap on the 3 yard line had NOTHING to do with Miami.

Look, Miami won last night. The final score is NOT indicative of how the game was played though. All 3 announcers mentioned repeatedly how VT had dominated the game but had miscues to keep Miami in it. Do you think Pollack, Herbstreet and Fowler are in the tank for VT?

So, does this mean you won't accuse me of wearing Hokie colored glasses whenever I say anything about FSU that you don't agree with?

Herbstreit and Fowler? Tech isn't good enough to have those guys on the broadcast. The announce team was Rece Davis, David Pollack, and Jesse Palmer. Oh, and Samantha Steele.

I heard them talk about VT dominating the 3rd period and not taking advantage, not throughout the game.

Dammit. I always get Fowler and Davis mixed up. Herbstreet I have no excuse for! And who is Samantha Steele? I know what she looks like, but who is she? How did she get that job?

Ugly, from the start. But VT might feed off the Lane Stadium crowd and keep it respectable. Only lose by 2 TDs!

    You sound very bitter.

Did I say that? You're kinda paranoid, huh? Yikes. I know you lost, and I know VT is the better team, but there have been games between the two where Miami was the better team and Tech beat them. It's okay.

How do I get accused of being paranoid? I predicted Miami would hang 30 and 400 on the Hokies. They hung 30 and 340. I said Miami won. When VT needed to make a stop, they couldn't. When they needed to score, they couldn't. I said Miami WON last night, not VT lost. I just said that the final score was not indicative pf the final score.

EDIT: And yes, I am bitter. This team was supposed to be good. This team was not supposed to be 4-5. This team was not supposed to exchange secondary players with the Redskins!

As bad as the last two weeks have been (3 if you count the BYE) for WVU, seeing an ol' time rival getting punked week in and out in the 5th or 6th rated conference is quite amu...nah..I don't think I would wish this type of season on anyone.

    Adios Beamer?

This is 100% true, I don't know another QB in the ACC that is worse and that includes the injured QB's at Maryland. I mean seriously has there ever been a more overhyped QB? The guy that commentators begin with "He has NFL size" yeah and that's where it stops. The guy can't hit an open pass to save his life, he can't make reads or good decisions. The play with 12 secs left before half....make a decision and throw it away to have 2 more plays left (1 being the fg attempt)..... are you kidding me?

I'm not a VT fan by any means but this guy is purely wasting your program away. I don't know if the coaches have an infactuation with athletic QB's there or what but anyone ...ANYONE else that has been offered a VT Scholarship to play QB has to be able to throw the ball better and deserves a chance to see the field (with or without experience).

Aside from raggin on that, I will say overall the talent level at VT had a significant drop this season as well. If you look at both sides of the ball there just isn't anyone around that you can say "man that guy is a play maker" ....there isn't, this happened to Clemson as well during Kyle Parker's last season when Spiller and Ford graduated. Sometimes it just happens and the very next year you get some good young talent to spruce it back up. I don't think its a coaching issue certainly not with Beamer but maybe O'Cain simply because he's a very very predicatble play caller. Obviously IMO Beamer/Foster have strung 6 years of 10 wins....this is not something they simply lose touch with on year 7......it's a down year. Make adjustments, pick yourselves back up and please evaluate your talent at QB. I love to hate VT but its not as much fun when you guys are this terrible.

i don't know if its just playcalling. i mean how many drives were stopped by just bad execution by Logan or someone else.

INT on the their 18, fumble on the their 1, fumble on the our 30, blocked punt inside our 20. 14 points gift wrapped to the other team. All they had to do was unwrap them. 14 points off the board for us. 28 point swing. Of course, good teams don't let that happen. Bad teams let that happen.
