You aren't going to fire Beamer if you're VT, but you can urge him to retire

This team will never be elite until they revolutionize their entire train of thought offensively

If you had a spread offense or a high-caliber offense to go with this defense this team would be extremely dangerous. This is a message that the rest of the ACC has caught up to VT. VT cannot rely on 10 win seasons and dominance anymore. It's like the nature shows when the alpha male lion gets replaced by the younger, more dangerous thread. Virginia Tech must make improvements in their offensive coaching staff in order to maintain success in the ACC, or else.

I personally would have gone for the 4th and 1 instead of kicking the go ahead FG. Score the TD, go for 2. A FG had about 0.5% chance of winning it.

At this point in the season, with the type of year we are having, I agree.

Bud's D has done this way too many times over the past few years, give up a late lead in the last 2 minutes of the game.

Agreed, but with this game (and so many others), his defense was also the only reason we were even in the game.

The thing is this is the best FSU team in awhile and also the worst VT team in awhile, yet VT still took them to the wire. Despite their record they deserve some props. I know it doesnt mean jack in a loss but I thought I'd offer it anyway. If VT can do this to FSU's offense then I dont want to even think about whats gonna happen when UF comes to town.

We only held a top rushing attack to negative yards. But we can't close games on offense or defense.

There was an obvious offensive pass interference call missed on the touchdown pass that put FSU up late. Sorry to all the Tech fans.

Yep.

I've felt numb about the Redskins for years (though this year has finally changed that thanks to RG3) and I never thought I'd feel like that about Tech Football, but I do.

Frank Beamer will not make the changes needed for us to compete for a National Championship so I've stopped getting worked up about the ineptitude of the offense. I also have little faith that the Athletic Department will make a quality hire to succeed him, though the sooner Weaver retires the better.

That being said, tonight was still painful.
