With that said, how do you like your new kicker at ECU? He looks pretty solid, eh?

Penn State and Ohio State playing this week in the Sanction Bowl. Should actually be a pretty good game, but sad in that the two best teams in the Big-10 (at the moment) are ineligible for the postseason. And not a word from Michigan fans...Penn State has beaten Michigan the last three times they've played, and Penn State can actually defend the run, meaning Denard Robinson has to become a passer, which is about when the wheels come off. Bill O'Brien is a freaking genius with the offense he's put together even though the gun is missing a few bullets.

I don't think much has changed, people are just used to Penn State running up the middle twice and then passing on 3rd down (or running again) and can't believe this team actually trots out an up to date offense. Combine that with the fact that our defense hasn't been decimated by sanctions (mostly offensive players left, for those who aren't PSU fans) and can defend the run, and I think we have a serious chance at knocking OSU off this week. And I don't think Michigan could handle us this year either, but it's just an opinion that won't bear out since they're off the schedule this season.

Actually, looking back further, it favored the Pac-10 7-3 in the 80's, and it was even worse in the 70's. Man has USC been a real thorn in the Big-10's side. You have to go back to the 50's-60's for a real run of Big-10 dominance. Man, I'm just going to point to the 90's from now on
Let's put it this way..at home, against a west coast Pac12 team (that is currently 3-5) playing what constituted a 9AM game for Cal, tOSU narrowly escaped 35-28.
And they are the best of the B1G.
Yeah, I think it's fair to say the B1G isn't very good this year.

Underneath the sky
I run up to the rainbow girl
just to pass her by
I'll never have a change of heart
My swan will never sing
I have no heart the swan is gone
And now I wear the wings
OSU LB corps and secondary is decimated by injuries, we have a shot. Meyer is no dummy, but apparently neither are O'Brien and Roof. Is Braxton Miller cleared to play?
I really enjoyed the "NASCAR" offense, just the simple fact that I was overshooting on my DVR amused me but each week is diff. He may not see that up-tempo gives us as much of an advantage against OSU.
How do we know O'Brien isn't Charlie Weis? It hasn't even been a full season yet. Weis looked great his first season too. Just saying.
I just think that in recent years because both teams are pretty much locked in to those 2 conferences it messes up the whole BCS matchups. sure the SEC has the Sugar and the Big 12 has the fiesta but at least they are only 1 team committed. there is the possibility of better matchups. Its just during the USC dominant year i would have loved to see them face an SEC powerhouse in a bowl. but instead they woud thump a B1G 10 team year in year out. and i guess same goes for Oregon. The only opportunity to really test the "west coast bias" was to play them in the MNC. Instead we are stuck playing the Utah's and Hawaii of the worlds in the Sugar bowl when IMO they were better matchups for say the B1G 10 champ. ( i do realize that utah did beat our ass that year). Every year as the the end of the season approaches I try to project the bowls and it seems like i'm always left thinking "man i would rather see game A and B but it won't happen cuz of the stupid Rose Bowl Tradition." Perhaps the best thing the playoffs will bring about is the death of the Bowl/ Conference affiliations.
The playoffs are just adding to the BCS, not replacing it. We'll have two semi-finals and a final in addition to the regular bowl games. The SEC & Big XII are even starting their own bowl together.
