Agreed. Even a middle of the road Pac 12 team (Cal) took tOSU to the limits at tOSU.

I'm interested to see how WVU plays against Baylor this weekend in their first B12 test. I think they'll win by more than they did in the MD game this past week.

Also, it will be interesting to see how VT plays against Cincinnati. Especially since the Bearcats crushed Pitt this year. Something tells me VT will be more ready for that game than they were against Pitt.

Well considering it will be a home "road" game at FedEx. Cincy will have about 2,500 fans and a band, and VT will have 50,000 and a band (more if day of game ticket sales spike with nice weather).

    Yes
    Yet they still beat USC.

Well, Pitt's gameplan against VT wasn't really a secret. The key to beating VT has always been to punch them over and over in the mouth. You have to out-physical VT - something that most teams have trouble doing. Really, outside of Clemson last year, I can't think of a team that has beat VT with finesse and speed in awhile.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I know who I'm rooting for this weekend..but I think it'll be an interesting matchup, nonetheless.

USC was afflicted by injury to their starter

Nunes is a huge step down from Luck. A huge step. Taylor is still there, but what happens after he leaves? What is the future like for Stanford without Luck and Taylor?

And I'm telling you, they won't be the same without either Luck or Taylor. I'm positive of this.

8-4, 9-5 seasons from here on out. But no more 11-1 seasons.

Compare this to a team like Oregon which regularly reloads and dominates the PAC-12. Stanford is a farce. I think they will remain competitive, but they stopped being among the elite when Luck left. Now they're just an above-average team.

Everyone knows SC and Oregon run the PAC-12.

And when Oregon is on probation and banned from winning the Pac-12 or going to a bowl, it will be back to USC domination. After a decade of suck was predicted based on the NCAA sanctions. Rinse, repeat.

About Stanford: A lot of people claim they recruited well and will remain elite

I disagree with that assessment, but we'll see what happens

.@slmandel brought this up yesterday but why does Penn State (against a mediocre at best Illinois team) keep getting noon ESPN kickoffs?

West Virginia looks good early against RG3's alumnus

(Wonder if RG3 managed to make the drive there)

Are noon kick offs better? I always thought they were worse.I like 330 or 6pm kickoffs better.

As far as RG3 I saw on twitter he said

    Robert Griffin III ‏@RGIII
Man, I wish I could be there to support my boys against West Virginia today. #SicEm
So I guess he didnt make the trip

Yeah, not that far from VA to WVU but I guess he has to prepare for the Redskins game. Baylor doesn't seem to miss him a bit though, still undefeated and they just had a huge 50 yard pass.

Florence looks pretty decent. Both defenses look like they're only playing with 9 guys out there though.
