VT could lose to Duke next week.

Severe changes have to be made for this team to get back on track. After they lost 2 games to BE teams, the cry was "This team will wake up for ACC competition." Now they just got romped by UNC. What now?

The defense, once a proud point of this team, has looked like garbage in their 3 losses. It is very sad to see a strong football institution struggle as badly as VT has.

This season has quickly turned into a disaster.

Poor tackling, none covering on D, and an at best up and down uneven offense, at worst the 1st half vs Cinci last week.

I see at best 3 wins left on the schedule (Duke, UVA, BC) and Duke isn't going to be a picnic.

How Frank Beamer responds, if he does, this offseason will determine if he goes out like Bobby Bowden/Don Nahlen/Joe Pa...i.e not on his terms and his program a shadow of the peak he had at it.

And really its too bad because there were 2 periods of time in the last decade to really make a statement- obviously the Michael Vick years and being 1 quarter away from winning it all, and then the 2004-2010 time period while FSU/Clemson were down and Miami falling apart to get the big prize.

The program does not have the infrastructure to compete on a national level with a fully armed FSU and competent Clemson, much less the SEC schools.

Didnt Bud Foster call out the offense last week? Well that came back to bite him.

Not really from listening to his post game interview. He was more pissed Fuller didn't make the play on the game winning TD.

Listneing to his post game interview today he said what everyone else is saying. The tackling is pathetic and the DBs simply aren't covering anyone.

Bud has tons of work to do if this team is to keep others from scoring 30+ a game here on out. This isn't the QB starved 2004-2009 ACC anymore

On paper, the talent isn't there. Add to it a mediocre at best offensive staff, and D staff that has had its lion share of talent compared to other teams, it is a real uphill climb this year, and probably next year also

Edit: Apparently it's because LSU lost 2 LBs, early in the 3rd.

Edit. Another TD Florida. I think they're over 100 yds rushing, for the half. And they just started the 4th.

I'm still not used to how people root for college football. It feels dirty to be rooting for UF, yet here I am and I know a lot of other FSU people that are too.

Just so that they have a better record when we play, and hopefully we beat them.

I would feel more comfortable if it were like the NFC East where I always root against the Cowboys, Giants, and Eagles... unless they're playing each other.

I run into a lot of them. People want them to go undefeated until they play us. They fear we'll be the odd man out in the NC picture.

LSU really hasn't shown me much this season. That UF win would've been a lot more impressive if it had come last year.
