With no Hightower, and no other out-and-out starter for Week One, I'd imagine Royster, Helu and Morris will all see a bunch of time this pre-season.

I figured as much, but haven't specifically heard his name much.

Looks like it. He's listed fourth on the RB depth chart, but with THT not playing, that's really third. You should see him. But he's not on the fullback depth chart. But again, it's Shanahan, so who knows if he may see some fullback duty.

Sorry if that came across as condescending man. It certainly wasn't the intention.

I believe Royster's getting the start tonight. But then it's Shanahan, so that means little, whatever the game. I've read quite a bit of good on Morris coming out of camp, particularly catching out of the back field. Really looking forward to seeing him. Outside of THT, he looks to be the only other good blocking back we have on the books given his FB past.

    Hail.

One extra thing we should be watching for unrelated to our Skins is the officials. Replacement officials. Lets see how the do. Thought i heard on the Heard with our buddy there that the officials missed a ton of calls in the Saints game. IDK, b/c i didn't get a chance to watch it. But just something to look for i guess. Not getting much talk about that around here.

Hopefully they will miss our inevitable blocks in the back and holding calls on returns!

It's seems to be a common held assertion that if THT's healthy, the 3 RB slots pick themselves on the 53 with Helu and Royster.

I'm not so sure. They didn't draft another back for the heck of it. And certainly not one with Morris' skill set. I think a slots a lot more open to him than people assume if he grabs his chance this pre-season, allied to how he's impressed in camp thus far.

    Hail.

    You sounded fine.

Morris is listed as a FB, right?

I don't know why, but I think he'd make a solid RB for us.

But the fact that Gettis is playing guard and not center could be telling in some way, shape, or form. Not quite sure how, yet.
    I hear yah on Cook.
The brief time I saw him he was more then unimpressive, it was almost Rabachesque watching him.
But, in his defense he went from the practice squad to the starting Center in a couple of days.
His physical ability might have been hindered by the 'bigness' of the moment.

    Re:Gettis OG
I wonder how much much Chester and Lichtensteiger's ability to play Center factors into the decision making process for Gettis and the Center position.

Man, I gotta admit I'm giddy.
I have a feeling Kyle is gonna gameplan a little more then normal for a preseason game and consequently Griff and the first unit are gonna look good, real good.

No. He isnt. He's the third tailback and not on FB depth chart.

    Right man for the job.

Nice work on the thorough (voluminously so ) set-up and I can't wiat. The last time I was this excited about a pre-season game was was the first one of Gibbs II, and that's second to tonight's game by a couple of lengths.

The last time I was excited for a pre-season game was Spurrier's Osaka debut. It was all down hill after that.....
