So for the yahoo people, I'm a commish in a yahoo league. I had a guy text me a 1pm and say he was trying to switch Dalton for Vick but since it was down he couldn't do it. What should I do? He's the only league member that texted me about a lineup change.

I'd tell him too bad. You have an entire week to make changes and it's easy to say you'd make a change after the fact.

texted you at 1pm today? I'd say bullocks. Should have sent an email/text yesterday. If he sent it at 1pm yesterday, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

I had Calvin Johnson, AP and Jimmy Graham. Oh I also picked up Amendola 2 weeks ago as a free agent.

If he sent it at 1pm yesterday then I'd say give it to him. I was trying to make last min changes at 12:30pm yesterday myself. That's time you are supposed to have to make changes, doing it a few days ago is irrelevant, especially when it comes to players who are questionable and you have to wait till the last min to decide to play them or not.

The only thing I worry about is if I do it for one, everyone will want me to do it for them.

Then the burden of proof is on them to show they contacted you (you're commish right?) about their inability to change line-ups.

Very true. And like I said only 1 guy did and it was right at kickoff at 1pm games so its not like he knew Dalton was gonna throw for 4TDs and Vick would get knocked out.

As a fantasy player, but complete outsider in this, I say go ahead and approve it if it was sent at 1:00 pm or earlier (check the time you received it on your phone). If it was even 1:01, I wouldn't approve it. And then I'd send an email to each player in the league, informing them that in the future no trades will be accepted after 1:00. My league actually has a 12:55 pm cut off.

Well it wasn't a trade. He was trying to bench Vick and start Dalton. But Yahoo went down yesterday around 12:30 so no one could do anything.

Oh, ok. But, still, you probably need to come up with some set guidelines. Trade or not, you gotta have a specific time frame on all these matters. And if he sent the request to you before 1:01, I'd approve it.

On a related note: weren't you the guy that got shot down on a fair trade a week or so ago in that league? And was this guy one of the ones who vetoed your trade? See where I'm going with this...

Must be thinking of someone else. My trade problem was months ago

The league I've been in for 20 years now has a cut off of 30 minutes before game time.

I picked up Arian Foster this week, and he played well last night in the CHicago slop bowl. Can't wait to see what he does against Jacksonville this coming week.
