QBKiller, I would ask them directly first, then if that doesn't work, notify the rest of the league that they need to vote on this trade. You don't have to tell them how to vote, just to make sure they vote.

Now for the reason I came to the thread today: Dwayne Bowe's 4th and 15 catch last night cost me my matchup. How does Pitt let him get that catch on 4th and 15?!?! I started this year losing 3 of my first 4, then came back strong the last few weeks, now I'm 1 game out of the playoff chase with a tough schedule coming up. I really needed that game and Bowe of all people cost me. Ok, I'm done ranting.

If I see a shady trade, I always go this route. By doing that it is like saying "This trade is bad, and I am voting no on it, but even though I am the commish, it is still only one vote. It's up to you all to block this trade. If you don't it is out of my hands."

That way, you did all you can and when someone tries to blame you, you can tell them it was their fault.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to vote against it and make everyone else in the league aware of the trade and the fact that they are able to vote on it and let them decide for themselves.

Matt, that's a good point about not allowing teams that are eliminated to make trades, is there a setting that allows that in your league?

No setting, its just understood. We just have it in place because what's to stop them from making wild trades? They have no incentive to keep playing so this way it stops them from being able to influence the rest of the league with a stupid trade.

Cool, I'm going to add this to our league next year.

Not happy about it, but I traded Forte for Luck. Still leaves me with Rice, Martin, Stewart, DRichardson, and Wells at RB. And for my flex I can use either Stewart, Denarius Moore, or Finley depending on the match ups.

Micheal Crabtree on the road against a tough Bears defense?

    Or

A not-100%-fully healthy Danny Amendola at home vs the Jets?

    NOT a ppr league.

If Smith plays, I think Crabtree is the guy. If Kaepernick plays, Crabtree gets lost and I think Amendola is the play.

The problem is, the Niners/Bears game is the MNF game.

I think Amendola might be the safer pick, personally.

ANY receiver against our D is a good idea. We have problems with big, tall, athletic TEs. We have no one to cover them.

Need some advice guys. Tannehill vs. Buffalo tonight, or Joe Flacco against Pittsburgh? He has shredded them as of late so there's some hope. But for Tanny, Buffalo's D is awful so he may put up big numbers.

I'd have to go with Flacco. It's a big game, Leftwich is liable to give him a few extra possessions and maybe even a few in close range.
Flacco just had a big big day and is having a very good year.

Buffalo's defense is woeful, but Miami's offense is also capable of crapping the bed

So I need to make some agressive moves to get myself into the playoff hunt. I just traded AJ Green for Marshawn Lynch and Tony Gonzalez. But I now have a need for QB with Big Ben getting hurt and Andy Dalton not being a world beater.

    Screen shot 2012-11-15 at 1.03.48 PM.png

That's my roster now with the absence of Green. I just threw Megatron on the block, figuring I might as well sell high after his big game, maybe broaden out the talent on my team and get my self in the playoff race.

So one person (who is known for terrible trade offers) keeps trying to send me Matt Stafford, James Starks and Lance Moore for Megatron. I'm not a fan of it, as Moore is a very very lowend #3 WR. Starks is a 1 week rental until Lynch is back from Bye, and MJD will likely be back from injury in the next few weeks. So I'm not inclined to take this offer.

However another offer that intrigues me is Cam Newton and Greg Jennings for Vernon Davis and Megatron. This intrigues me because Cam has potential to blow up and has a relatively weak end of season schedule. Greg Jennings being hurts scares me, but he's likely back next week and if he can get back to a high level quickly, he'll really boost my WR corps if I trade Megatron. Davis is no longer needed with Gonzo.

So with my roster as it is, what do you guys think, should I take it, or leave it?

P.S. Santana Moss is on the wire, I may grab him as a backup WR, he's seemed to get a lot of looks lately with the loss of Davis and Garçon, even with Garçon back I see Moss getting more looks just because he'll likely be opposite Garçon, since he's the most consistent of our targets sans Garçon.
