Plus his matchup against Joe Haden scares me. That dude could shut down Moore and force Palmer to go to other guys (Heyward-Bay and Myers (who is on my team too)). And no QB's on waivers. 12 team league, all active teams. 2 qb league. I'm already starting Palmer. This game is for my division title.
    2 QB league....thats pretty cool.

total fantasy points for me with Brees: 9. Looks like i'm out of the playoffs and a shot at $350 or more...

I literally had swapped out Romo for Brees about 20 minutes before the game...but I cancelled it....god. ****ing. dammit.
While we don't have negative points, Brees got me 2 lousy points. Add insult to injury, I didn't start my Atlanta defense. Would have got me -14 towards my opponent. I figured he'd throw a couple, but not 5. I'm starting Buffalo against Jacksonville. I swear, my defenses are going to be the death of me this year. I knew the TD streak would end, but I was hoping it would be the beginning of next season, when I'm not going to do FF next year.

ya know, i was just talking to my wife about that this morning. I don't think I can ever play FF for money ever again. This was my first time playing in a money league, a big money league at that, and every Sundays have become complete torture for me. I spend hours every week analyzing my matchups, and then from Thursday night to Monday night, I'm a complete wreck. Constantly sitting in front of my TV with my laptop open, checking out the score real-time. Too much stress man, its taken the fun away from watching football for me. I'm obviously taking it way too seriously, but my personality won't have it any other way.

next year i'm just going to play for fun, no more money LOL.

We have been playing for fun, bragging rights and a trophy for 22 seasons. We started in the 1991 season. We were doing fantasy football before fantasy football became popular. I've been the commissioner for our league all 22 years. I'm just kind of burned out. I think we all are. We all started when we were in our early 20s and now we are all in our 40s. We have families to attend to and things to do. But I do agree with you that it HAS taken a bit of fun out of football. At least I won't have to root for Jason Witten anymore after this year. I can sit back and enjoy watching all the talent on the field and appreciate it without getting too caught up in it. We were hoping to get to 25 years, but I cannot honestly do 3 more years of it. I'm cooked. Stick a fork in me. I'm literally counting down the weeks until it's all over. 3 more weeks after this.

I can't play for money man. I get pissed when I lose these free leagues. I can't imagine how much I would be messed up if I had bread on the line...

Holy cow, I didn't know FF went back that far! Dang!

That's quite a run you and your league have been on though, must've been fun. But I could see how 20+ years of it, especially being commissioner, could take its toll LOL. and I do agree that its hard to watch games for what they are and just enjoy the talent when I've got somebody on my fantasy that's playing.

@ MLS...dog i've RAGED several times this season. you should've seen me last night when Brees threw that 5th pick. I'm with you man, from now on i'm just gonna join some bragging rights leagues for fun.

One of my friends plays in a cool setup. he's in a league with a bunch of coworkers, and they all go out for happy hour every Friday. all of the guys who lost that week have to buy sevreal rounds for the one guy that beat them

So the one time I stick my neck out for Brees he has the worst game of his career. No one can say they saw that coming

We tried rotisserie baseball as that was more popular back then, but most of my friends from college are football fans. One suggested starting a league and I suprisingly found a magazine with tips for starting a league, including scoring, schedules and setup. It's been so much fun over the years. I've won 9 of the 21. I think we've all hit a wall. We only have 2 of the original 5 members, so you can see we've had some turnover. But all in all it's been great. I create a small book on each season and hand it out to them. Compared to other leagues, I really fell in love with the scoring in our setup. It gets real football scores (35-28) as opposed to basketball scores (112-104) the other leagues employ. We play head to head through a balanced schedule. My defense takes away from your offense and vice versa. But it's time. I think I'm really going to enjoy next year without it, but I know the competitor in me will miss it.

Thinking about making a change at tght end....vernon davis has been very disappointing thr last 2 months.

    Dallas clark @ broncos?
    Marcedes Lewis @ Bills?

Or stick with vernon davis @ Rams? Davis had 1 target for zero yards last week

McFadden is back so no to Moore. Detroit plays Indy so Mikel could be good. NEs D has been getting better, and Bush has been splitting carries with Thomas. Dwyer is good, but w/ Batch in at QB Balt. is going to stack the box and that game will be low scoring.

So I'd go Morris and Leshoure

Lewis has the best match up of those 3

Brees didn't get the memo that its "win or go home" for me this week. Thanks for the 3 pts, pal!! Also doesn't help that the guy I'm playing has Romo going. I need a miracle, LOL

I don't understand you guys wanting to quit FF. It makes Sundays so much more enjoyable. I couldn't imagine not playing. And I'm also more competitive than anyone I know.

Also don't understand how anyone plays just the free leagues. Bor-ing. If there's not any money involved, then what's to really play for? There are plenty of different leagues out there online with different formats. The ones with the drafts are not any fun, imo. If your studs go down, you're basically screwed. Bor-ing. Plus, you always have those fiascos about teams that are out of it, trading away all their good players to help others win their leagues. I would never play any free league or one with a draft. There are simply much better options out there.

What are your guys opinions on Bryce Brown? I picked him up and I'm thinking of plugging him in as a Flex. This would be my lineup

    Qb:RG3
    RB: Martin, Morris, Brown
    Wr: Nicks, Welker

At WR I have O. Daniels, Tate, and Mike Williams (TB) on the bench. So i'm pretty torn between Brown and Daniels.
