I am interested to see the new scorestreak they talk about. Nothing worse than playing domination, capture the flag or any other game that really isn't a kill first type of game and have retards going for killstreaks. I might have a 0.5 k/d ratio, but I'm securing more locations than any player on the board. Sounds good to be rewarded for killing a guy to prevent him from taking a flag or area as oppose to the chump who just looks to get kills around the focal points, not even caring if his team wins or loses, as long as he gets his 25 kill streak. I call it team deathmatch with training wheels, instead of trying to find someone by yourself, you play a game where you know action will be and just try to get kills there
I might actual play this for more than 1 month, provided they do something about those aweful remote control car bombs. Give me a perk to kill them instantly or at least make them die if I put a clip from any gun into them. Those where the most indestructible things in the game, far more resilient than even the juggernaut.
To me, MW2 was a huge disappointment. By the far the easiest and most inexplicable spawn trapping in any COD, by far the most noob tubing in COD history, duel shotties were rampant, as was Commando. I never used SMGs in that game because of Shotties/Commando. OMA was ridiculous, so was reacquiring claymores with Scavenger. I know I'm forgetting more **** I couldn't stand, but if COD4 was genius, MW2 was its crackhead brother. I found COD4 and MW2 so much more different. Constantly played Domination in COD4, never played Domination in MW2.
Now that Terminal is in MW3, it is by far the worst map in the game, IMHO -- and this is coming from someone who 'enjoyed' it back in the day. It clearly shows the differences in map design. Most of the players on that map simply aim down their sights waiting for people to turn corners while head-glitching or lying in prone. Went through a few games of Domination where the team that spawned at B got trapped there for the entire length of the game. The other team just sat back, ate some chips and camped like hippies. That would never happen on any other map in MW3, I constantly have to run around in that game to keep enemies off flags, even if we're kicking serious ass. I literally took a piss break during a game on Terminal because there were a couple BEASTS on my team racking up the kills from the fast food counter.
To me MW3 and COD4 feel a lot alike, gameplay wise. There are obvious differences, one being the amount of pointstreak rewards, but they aren't nearly as dominant as they were in MW2. MW2 just felt like a hasty exploitation of what players found cool in COD4. "Oh, you like killstreaks? Here you go, have an emergency airdrop!"

Double, you are totally correct about terminal. The spawn inside the building is so much better. If the Xbox guys ever decided to camp out the spawn the entire game, the other team is screwed. 7500 to 0 is possible.
Dude.....yes! k/d means absolutely nothing. Winning is EVERYTHING. I'll gladly play domination and go 17-30 with 11 captures and be on top of the leaderboard above some kid who went 36-4 with 1 capture (with that 1 being the beginning of the game initial cap). Who cares if you go 36-4 if you lose? Tom Brady threw for nearly 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in the superbowl, but he lost...so nobody cares.
I wish killstreak campers would stick to TDM where k/d actually means something and stay out of demolition and domination. But its easier to camp in objective games because most folks are preoccupied with actually playing the flags/bombs. I am forced to play a lot of barebones just to get away form killstreak campers, and I wish it didn't have to be that way...
In Black Ops, my kill/death is only 1.56, but my Win/Loss is 2.78. Tryhards unite.
Sorry for the rant, but FPS games bring out my Type A personality I cuss out little kids daily![]()

GEORGIA AVENUE.
I have around 500 more defends than captures in Domination. Capturing a ton of flags is cool, I let my girlfriend do that when we're playing COD, but what happens when you're constantly running forward is that you lose an opportunity to create a stifling zone defense (or in FPS terms, a spawn trap). The spawn system in MW3 is a lot more lenient than it was in MW2. If you go after A or C to dominate the other team, they will zip the enemy team to the opposite flag before you can even finish capturing it.
Anyway, the reason I have so many defends is because no matter wtf happens with A or C...B dom is usually always the prime target. It's the chess philosophy, whoever has the center of the board (map) controls the game. I am constantly fighting for that mother****er. I love it, it's hellacious action, and experienced players know what's up. At B I'm usually up against the bastards that have the same idea as I do.
Point is, when you control B and another flag, you can create a zone between B and their lone flag...easily picking enemies off desperate to get out of their spawn. That doesn't mean camping at all; the best trappers are wizards at adjusting their positions laterally to keep you constantly guessing. Ditching B and rushing is fine when you're kicking ass, but you don't want to get screwed overrunning a team with a bit of skill and an advantageous respawn. Can't tell you how many times I've rushed too far and the other team slipped around and took my precious B flag.
I can sense when I've gone too far towards their flag and the game has spawned the team on the other side. Instead of getting the easy cap, I run back towards B and defend it.

nothin' better than a good ol' fashioned spawn trap. as you said, the trick is to hang back. if 1 or 2 people wanna rush into their spawn, cool. but enough people have to stay between B and the A or C flag that you own so the spawns don't flip.
some folks don't get that dominating a team is the worst thing you can do. i feel bad though when i buy the "dominated" contract, which calls for you to own all 3 flags for 1 minute. people yell at me like "you ****ing idiot don't take C"![]()

A domination game in which the best person went 17-31 with 11 caps means that the other team sucked ass.
A good game of Domination means you held onto B and one other flag for pretty much the entire duration. If you are playing smart, you can easily get 25+ kills, die only 5-8 times and still be the best player in the lobby.
Saying k/d doesn't matter is an excuse for bad players. You can dominate any game type and also go positive without handing the other team a truck load of killstreaks by dying a whole lot.

If we are talking of a balanced, competitive game it doesn't even come close to MW3.
Revisit COD4 and it had just about the dumbest perks in the game: martyrdom, last stand, stopping power (overpowered). Then you had the M16 which is probably the cheapest gun ever in COD.
MW2 doesn't even need an explanation. Really fun game; cheap as hell.
I preferred UAV Jammer over Stopping Power in tough matches. And Juggernaut was in COD4, which offset SP. Nothing offset SP in MW2. Glad it's gone.
Always fascinating to me that people would use SP and scream their heads off about Juggernaut at the same time. I've always said, that if the little medical cross didn't pop up, it wouldn't be as hated. It was startling, it would freeze you up just a split second when you'd see that cross. Frickin' Juggernoobs, I hated you, but it was unfounded. Hell, I wasn't on the mini map, which I think is the best advantage out of all of 'em.
Martyrdom was awfulMade Shipment even more hilarious though, to me at least. It helped that I didn't care much about dying on that map.

MW3 is really balanced, like vishal said. MW2 is still my favorite game of all of them. The martydom was a joke in that one game lol.
Martyrdom was indeed awful, BUT it was their first implementation of the perk system so they deserve more slack than the rest of the games.
martyrdom + danger close in MW2 was hilarious. infinity ward allowing people to place 2 claymores was a bad idea![]()

COD4 was by far the best
COD2 was good also.
COD3 sucked
WaW was a very different game from COD4 in terms of game play. I did not like it but it was not a bad game.
MW2 was ok...
MW3 could have been a very good game but the lag compensation BS that they put in made the game so laggy that it was just annoying.
I will get Black Ops 2 just for zombies.

COD4 had the worst spawn traps and it was not even close. That is why I liked COD4 for domination. You had to capture your objective and hold it or you were in for a serious beatdown.
