I've been playing on PS3 and noticed some RG3 and HTTR tags. I added someone the other day asking if they were indeed a Redskins team. It's probably one of you guys on here.

I play on Xbox and I've changed my clan tag to HTTR. Gotten a few comments here and there.

Ive been using the FAL and SWAT 556 along with the MCSC. I do best with the FAL, got the gold camo, etc. I got a few questions though, I keep getting obliverated by faster guns it seems, what is the best gun (and attachments for it) for an average/maybe slightly above average (at times lol) player? I play on PC, so there is no auto-aim or anything like that.

Also, on the SWAT 556, when I unlock the select fire, how does that work since its a three burst gun? Will it make it full auto with three bursts at a time?

SWAT 556 will become full auto. Select fire is very popular for that gun.

As far as being faster at killing, the "quickdraw" gun attachment will make you aim down sights faster when you aren't coming out of a sprint. The "dexterity" perk will make you aim down sights AND hipfire faster coming out of a sprint. I don't leave home without it.

how much does silencer hurt range? on most assault rifles and SMGs, the range goes down 2 notches when selecting silencer, which sucks. but does it really shorten the range a lot, or is it just a mental thing?

I think the more aggressive you are, the more you need that silencer/ghost combo. Nothing worse than flanking or slicing through the enemy team and being the lone red dot remotely near your position. Without a silencer, deep in enemy territory, I will avoid getting an easy kill just to stay off the mini map. Would rather wait for a pack of enemies to mow down before going loud.

And when you play like that, closing the distance comes naturally. I'm usually shooting people within 15 meters with SMGs. Here and there I'll get the occasional 4 hitmarker non-kill, but it's nowhere near enough for me to ditch silencers.

When I use LMGs and (sometimes) ARs, I'll pass on silencer & ghost altogether. Just come at me, like you said. It's a strength over stealth question. In Black Ops 1 and MW2, I went the strength-route a lot. Beefed up gun, FMJ and extended mags, hardline; the direct approach.

The PS3 name is "MitAchUndKrach". In German this means "by the skin of one's teeth" or "with great difficulty" which also describes the manner in which I use this caveman tool that we call a controller. Currently I only play with 2 other people who are also remnants from my semi-pro PC gaming days. I have a Redskins logo I made a few days ago, but it didn't turn out as nicely as I'd have liked.

Absolutely would love to see some Skins Emblems!! Also, if you guys can post videos on how to make pleeeease!! I'm very challenged and have ZERO Creativity. I really need help making a Redskins emblem. My Buddy just uses a "HTTR" design with maroon and gold.

I typically try to use Ghost/Silencer/FMJ to strengthen my bullets. I use the AN94 and Fal with Select Fire/FMJ/Silencer. On the Fal I use the 3rd attachment. As you can tell by my classes, I like Fully Auto Rifles and am a mid range kinda guy. If a smaller map, I'll use the First Shotgun with Extended Barrel/Stock (Triangle looking thing) for aim.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Manny, if you like the FN FAL, you might wanna try that other single-fire assault rifle (can't remember the name). it does a tad more damage. I run that thing with silencer, select fire, and extended mags. its a killing machine.

Fal was my favorite weapon until somebody put me onto the other single-fire assault rifle, and i like it more than the FAL

I explained this a few pages ago but I'll go through it again, because for some reason they increase the damage meter when you select FMJ. It does not increase damage, period. It only has to do with your bullets going through objects. Say you shoot through a wall without FMJ, and your bullets do 10 out of 100 damage. That would take 10 hits to kill. With FMJ it would increase the bullets going through the wall to 15 damage, where it would take (wait let me do the math) just under 7 shots to kill.

I'm not familiar enough with the shotguns in this game. What I do know is that in all the past CODs, aiming down sights with a shotty was a bad thing. The range and pellet spread with steady aim (laser sight in Black Ops 2) is the same as it is when you aim down sights. Difference being you move slower when aiming down sights, even with stock. I recommend trying laser sight and long barrel and hipfiring the crap out of folks. You should definitely be using dexterity, and lightweight if you ask me.

one thing i do know about shotguns, that 16 mag, 4-shot shotty (the last one in the category) ****ing sucks.

Oh and by the way, Thanks to the regular contributors of this thread. Love picking your brains and asking questions. I can honestly say, this thread has made me a better player. Turning me on to the FAL, me and my team are forever grateful to you guys.

We're not the kinda team that travels or anything crazy. Just a group of friends who gets on once or twice a week and plays for a few hours. We're the funny (but not annoying) bunch that stays in a party and plays games.

What's your favorite Automatic Assault Rifle (I have a very slow trigger finger, that's why I like fully auto)? I know youngchew recommended the other Assault Rifle.

Using the AN94 and FNFAL with the select fire? Best Attachments for these 2?
Typically I use the silence and FMJ (on all my weapons) but now I will be removing FMJ. Anything you guys recommend to add in its place?

I personally like silencer, quick draw and/or grip on the AN94.
With the FAL I like the silencer, select fire and ACOG scope (or target finder).

I read somewhere on here that the grip doesn't do anything but I swear that it reduces the recoil of the guns I use.
