Mit Ach Und Krach!
Yeah that was me. Its funny, my KDR throws people off cause I let my wife play sometimes and she's just godawful and drags the stats down. Most of the ability I have in the game is from years of semi-pro pc gaming. I mean the aiming is all different but instincts don't really change, even though this is really my first console FPS since Goldeneye. I haven't played much kill confirmed and domination prior to tonight. PC competitive gaming was basically 100% SD style formats so...eh. SD in BO2 is hyper-idiotic though. I played a couple rounds of it a few days ago and no fewer than 5 people were hiding behind gold/diamond encrusted shields for 2 minutes straight not planting the bomb. Fun. I don't care about much in this game though. I just run around like an idiot everywhere and shoot at whatever appears to be moving. It just sucks to feel so limited compared to what I could do with a mouse and keyboard.
Oh and yeah, I have plenty of headsets from the PC gaming days. Only all the really good sound cards and headsets on the PC are non-usb so I don't have anything which will work with the PS3. Perhaps one of these days I'll buy one. I may be wrong, but it appears you can't dictate who hears you, and there is no push to talk button. I'm used to using teamspeak, ventrilo, or mumble on the PC where you choose who you're talking to and can set a push to talk button so people don't hear you between rounds yelling at the cat to stop fiddling with the blinds. I assume most of them have a mute switch which could function in that capacity. It would be easier than sitting on my couch with a keyboard in front of me.

I have my set up exactly like I was playing on a PC other than the controller. My PS3 is hooked up to a 1080p PC monitor with an HDMI input. I sit about a foot away from it in a computer desk chair. I have a headset that is made for PS3, Turtle Beach is the company. Most tried and true COD players use them although Sony makes a good wireless headset.
As far as things like teamspeak, you can mute who you don't want to when you press select and bring up the scoreboard. I mainly use that just to mute the people who are plasting their awful music though. I try to get as close to 6 in my party as I can.
I also play a fair amount of S&D if I'm in a party that wants to play it. It's the closest to CSS so I like that game mode. There is an awful lot of camping in it though. Luckily there is an objective so a camp out is mostly useless when it comes to actually winning. If they had a de_dust2 on this game I'd be playing that map all day long.
Oh yeah, I learned the mute feature the first 15 seconds. It was absolutely essential, since my first online experience was a teenybopper yelling at his friend "STEEE-VENNNNN!". Apparently Steven was not cooperating with this child and everyone else in the game needed to hear about it. Also, I have lost count of the times someone has been killed by me and decided to call me a "***** ass nigga". I don't care if its a black guy saying it and there is an a on the end, I can't help but develop the lowest opinion of someone who uses that word in conversation.

You can mute the entire lobby with one button I believe. I do enjoy watching COD trolling vids. Everyone hates people that block you in to corners and block doors, so when I see other peoples' reactions I totally feel them

haha that was kinda funny but I don't know why people get so frustrated I would just mute the dude.
Thanks Soup
I was tearing it up with the LSAT earlier, then logged off for a bit. Been trying to play on PC for an hour now, it keeps freezing up at the begining of the game. Right after you select your class, when I pick my class, it immediately freezes up and then when you try and close it out through task manager, it keeps auto restarting up and freezing back up. ****ing annoying. I uninstalled and am trying a reinstall right now. Anyone have this happen before?

Reinstalled and now it freezes up when I try to select online. WTF is going on?
Sounds more like an OS or hardware problem than a problem with the game. I've never heard of it but I play on PS3.
Ok, I played BF3 and Medal of Honor with no problems.......it will not load multiplayer BO2.......Im gonna NERD RAGE HARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday I got a 53-19 game in Headquarters, "rushing" with the LSAT:
LSAT
Primary Gunfighter
EOTech sight
Stock
Quickdraw
Perk 1 Greed
Lightweight
Ghost
Toughness
Extreme Conditioning
I just hate the speed I run at. If there are any close calls as far as capturing or defending objectives, I'll want to switch to an SMG with lightweight/extreme conditioning. I'm not a big fan of TDM in this COD, so I'm always running around in objective games. That 53 kill game was definitely the exception for the LSAT, most of the time I had to revert back to my trusty MSMC.

I found it interesting that in hardcore, I was kicked for three team kills. Here is how they happened:
1. While shooting at an enemy player, a teammate walked in front of me and I killed them both on the same 2 shots.
2. I threw a grenade in the vicinity of where I had been shooting at an enemy player and accidentally killed a teammate.
3. Unbeknownst to me, I was stunned by a teammate, went prone looking at the window through which the stun had traveled, and fired wildly at whatever appeared in the window, killing my teammate. I had been killed earlier in a similar manner by another teammate.
Kicked!
I like that it doesn't take into account that I'm #1 in points and have between a 2 and 3:1 ratio on the round, and I'm clearly not some teamkilling asshat. Nope, its bansville for me! Good call, Treyarch.

Learned how to upload Black Ops 2 videos to youtube. Here's every kill of mine from a 21-1 Gun Game:

Im severely pissed right now. The game is not playable on PC and I have done nothing in any settings on my PC, etc. I quit playing for 2 hours and when I started the game back up, it keeps freezing up at the first selection screen where you pick online, settings, quit, etc. When I click on any option, it freezes. Then when I do a ctr-alt-del to get up task manager, it says not responding and when you close it out, steam automatically restarts the multiplayer client and its a repeat over and over. The only way to get it to stop is to restart my PC when I access the task mgr because it takes me back to my desktop screen.
Ive installed the latest drivers, reinstalled the game, ran a anti-malware program (it did find one trojan) but I dont think that had anything to do with the game. Ive verified the cache in the game, steam is updated to the latest version. I have no idea what is going on.
Also, this started yesterday too and I have no idea why or how to fix it. When I google "Call of duty black ops 2 website" it shows a bunch of links and the link to the offical website. When I click the link it takes me to some page asking me to register for a free copy of the game or some **** like that. It will not let me proceed to the website. Said it was sponsered by promo.com or something like that. I have to actually go into the address bar and manually type in "callofduty.com" to get there. I have firewalls running, anti-virus, pop-up/spam blockers, everything lol. Anyone know how to fix that **** too?
