The game is not playable on PC and I have done nothing in any settings on my PC, etc. I quit playing for 2 hours and when I started the game back up, it keeps freezing up at the first selection screen where you pick online, settings, quit, etc. When I click on any option, it freezes. Then when I do a ctr-alt-del to get up task manager, it says not responding and when you close it out, steam automatically restarts the multiplayer client and its a repeat over and over. The only way to get it to stop is to restart my PC when I access the task mgr because it takes me back to my desktop screen.

Ive installed the latest drivers, reinstalled the game, ran a anti-malware program (it did find one trojan) but I dont think that had anything to do with the game. Ive verified the cache in the game, steam is updated to the latest version. I have no idea what is going on.

Also, this started yesterday too and I have no idea why or how to fix it. When I google "Call of duty black ops 2 website" it shows a bunch of links and the link to the offical website. When I click the link it takes me to some page asking me to register for a free copy of the game or some **** like that. It will not let me proceed to the website. Said it was sponsered by promo.com or something like that. I have to actually go into the address bar and manually type in "callofduty.com" to get there. I have firewalls running, anti-virus, pop-up/spam blockers, everything lol. Anyone know how to fix that **** too?
I would also go to bashandslash.com for tech support and better PC config ideas while I was a competition player. Sometimes major performance issues are related to default config settings which don't optimize the game for whichever type of processor or GPU you have on your system. Oh...be prepared to meet an asshat or two if you go there.

Got a lot of frustration out last night, mostly hardpoint and demolition. MP7 with silencer and extended mags is working just as well as the MSMC. MP7 reloads fast as heck.

^ Oh my god that was good.

And Whiteboy7thst's game was great. He barely even gets hit. I ran with the Reaper and AC-130 in MW3, but I feel so compelled to use the UAV in this game. Still a ton of people not using Ghost. I've NEVER been a C4 guy, but that **** is insanely strong. It was just a little less powerful than the predator missile in MW3, and it seems to have retained its strength for BO2. Because of that gameplay video, I'm going in to a private match by myself to practice tossing C4 and quickly detonating it. Never know 'til you try.

That gameplay demonstrates why Scavenger is such an amazing perk.

8 of the 10 items he was using:

    PDW
    Silencer
    Laser sight
    B23R
    Akimbo
    Scavenger
    C4
Tactical Insertion (didn't even need that)

I've totally abandoned secondaries in this game and it's probably gotten me in to a lot more trouble than I realize. He was going ham with those akimbo 3 shot burst pistols.

    Aftermath is my least-favorite map.

If you're backing out before every single game of Carrier, you be'z backin' out a lot cuz! Feel like I play that map every three games or so.

I don't like Cargo as much as I used to. The way you have to negotiate it reminds of Bloc from COD4. Have to travel along the outside, because the middle is so large without much cover. Death zone.

Favorite maps right now are Plaza, Standoff and Slums. Altogether I think Black Ops 1 had better AND worse maps. I'm not hating anything as much as I hated Kowloon and Crisis. Cracked was a little better than Aftermath.

Haha that's like Yemen for me. Seems to be every other map.

funny thing somebody was talking about in the lobby last night. Couple dudes were talking about how to keep things fresh. they were like, not just with adding new maps, but what if you just updated the entire playlist to move the objectives to entirely different places on the map? For instance, what if the "B" domination flag on Standoff moved from the middle of that street to the room on the ground floor of the building where demo site is?

Or on Hijacked, what if the B domination was moved from that little center area to the room in the lower level of the boat? The entire map would flow/play completely different.

And the headquarters on each map are only like 6 different areas. What if they switched it up and created 6 NEW headquarters capture areas forr each map? moved demolition sites to different parts of the map? Pretty much every objective based game mode could have the objectives moved to different parts of the map, and it would make the maps play completely different.

Because as it is now, there are parts of each map that hardly ever see any action at all. It could make old maps feel new.

It seems to me that maps are essentially made with Domination in mind, and it's pretty painstaking work to ensure that each side is balanced in terms of the time it takes to get to flags, etc. It would seem to me that in your Standoff example at least the team spawning at C dom would have a fairly sizable advantage, and the way the map is made you can't realistically move the spawns around too much.

Something I'd like to see would be destructible environments, as it's really the one thing in the BF series that I find enjoyable.

Don't Taze: Did you fix your PC problem? My video card has been out of commission and I haven't played in a month since I'm too busy to get it fixed. Hopefully will get on that soon...

Just went 21-0 on Hijacked Team Deathmatch. First time I've gone double digit kills zero deaths in any call of duty game ever. Feels pretty good.
