yeah, most of the maps in Black Ops 2 are built for rushing and "patrolling," not much medium to long range shootouts.
Also, there isn't very much open space to have two guys just going at it. In old maps like Wasteland, Derail, Array, Grid, Radiation...all those maps had flat, open areas to where there was no cover, just two guys shooting at each other. NONE of the Black Ops 2 maps really have that feel, in my opinion. All the Blops 2 maps are basically built for domination, with 3 main areas of the map, two being the spawns A & C objectives, and then B in the middle. All the maps seem to have narrow passageways towards B in the middle, with a lot of cover along the way, and then little hallways and hiding places around the outside of the map. It seems really easy for a well organized team to take control of the game early and lock down major choke points.
Most of the maps in Black Ops 2 seem to play pretty much the same way. Aftermath, Meltdown, and Overflow are basically the exact same layouts.

. An LMG better up close than far away, weird. My ratio is still on the up, but my score per minute is going down with this gun.
