I take back all the bad things I said about Kirk Cousins
The Sly Fox closed/changed names kinda recently. It's called Wiley Gunter's and is supposedly still a Skins/Hokies bar:

I just looked at the NFL TV map for this week, and it appears that channel 9 is showing the Ravens game opposite the Redskins game on channel 5 but channel 45 is not reciprocating. Channel 45 is showing the Philly- Pittsburgh game. I thought that DC and Baltimore were each others secondary markets and are forced to show each others team if they are on different networks. Can somebody please give me a explanation on why channel 45 does not have to show the Redskins game?

Just another reason to hate the Ravens.
They always get in the ****ing way

As long as I've been in Baltimore, it has never worked that way.
If the Ravens are in a given time slot the Redskins will not be shown in that time slot regardless of channel. If you live in an area that borders another broadcast market, then of course you have a chance of getting one of the outside channels. For Baltimore and Baltimore County proper, they will never let the Redskins compete with the Ravens in the same time slot. I'm not sure exactly how it shakes down in the NFL's broadcast rules, but it's been like that as long as I've been here (going on 6 years).
To answer the original question, we bit the bullet and ordered the Sunday Ticket since we gave up our season tickets this year. We've been pretty happy with it.
The Redskins: Straight outta the WOOM!
I mentioned this before. I live in Middletown De and pull the game through Fox 21 saulsbury via antenna. You are likely closer so you may have even better luck. I get 60 signal(50 to 100 perfect picture) and remember it is HD on antenna. I might miss one game between fox 45, Fox 21 and my local channels. What really is annoying is that Kent and Sussex county have fox 5 and 21 on their local channels. I am right on the border of Kent and 1 mile from the MD line and get the freakin' Eagles on Fios.
Someone also had a question about Fox 45 rules for showing games. See below. This is from fox 45. Note they don't say what the broadcast rules are if Ravens play away. I imagine they are not going to let a close competing market(redskins game) be shown in this, but can allow another regional game to be played for whatever reason. Hope I didn't confuse you. It use to be a lot simpler when channel 11 showed all the redskins game back in the day. I guess i am showing my age.
Why is FOX45 showing (or not showing) Redskins Games?
We show as many Redskins games as are available to us. FOX follows the AWAY NFC teams each week. CBS follows the AWAY AFC teams each week. Here's how you can tell if FOX45 will be showing the Redskins:
If the Redskins are away or playing an NFC team at home in the afternoon, then the game would be on FOX.
If the Redskins are playing at home, against a visiting AFC team in the afternoon, then the game would be on CBS.
If the Ravens - the market's home team - are playing at home in the afternoon against an AFC team, then they will be airing on CBS AND FOX45 will not be able to show ANY game at the same time - even if FOX has a national double-header weekend scheduled.
If the Ravens - the market's home team - are playing at home in the afternoon against an NFC team, then the Ravens will be airing on FOX45 at that time, even if a Redskins game is scheduled at the same time.
These are some of the rules that are given to the broadcast networks from the NFL. Some Redskins games we don't carry due to the FOX NFL contract. The last couple of years we have carried 9-10 Redskins games, most of the other games are picked up either on Sunday night or Monday night football. Our viewes usually miss 2-3 Redskins games a year, which is out of our control. The other game choices that we air are up to the FOX network.
Got hosed paying full price for Sunday ticket last year, then price cut to $199.00 still a little pricey for the one or two games a season that are actually blocked. I'll be going to the Green Turtle in Mt. Airy and hanging with the locals this weekend.
Nice you hoser!

You should re-direct your hate to Danny Snyder. There are currently two NFL shared media markets, in which the teams are never scheduled simultaneously: NY Giants & Jets, and SF 49ers & Oakland Raiders. The Ravens have repeatedly requested that the league also include the Baltimore-Washington TV market as a shared media market, going back to at least the 2007 season; the Redskins did not support this request.
If both teams playing in Maryland were in a shared media market, by NFL rules there would never be a black out by WUSA-TV WTTG-TV of Ravens games, or by WJZ-TV or WBFF-TV of Redskins games, nor would there be simultaneous airing of both Ravens and Redskins at sports bars (except when 1pm game run over)

That sucks. When I lived in Harford County it seemed like they showed all but one or two games. Of course, that was like five years ago...
For those that don't want to spend anything to watch, streaming is the best option. I cut the cord a while back and don't miss cable at all. My local stations show the Skins (take that, Dallas fans) so that's how I watch - but I'll stream it if it's a Monday or Thursday game. The one I use the most is: http://www.vipboxsports.eu/sports/am...-football.html That's how I watch Formula 1 now, too.
